Flower and color – I usually, before I start to think how I’m going to paint a flower, I want to have inspiration. SO.. I take pictures of the same flowers in different angles to get ideas.

Then I paint when I found something I like!

For a little while ago, I bought a new system camera – canon EOS 100D – one of the world’s smallest cameras out there but the machine to do the same as a bigger one. The one a bought was in a packet price, the packet was the camera, a bag for the camera, a SD card 16GB (but for some reason, I can only use 14GB), lens cleaning and a manual, the price was 4400kr witch is about $533 dollar.

I like to take photos for inspiration when I paint flowers so the camera is perfect. The pictures are in perfect quality and the camera is easy to handle. The settings is easy to manner and the camera it self is so light that I can use it with one hand. The photos under is take with the EOS 100D without color corrections ore any photoshoping done.

I’ve got in to the challenge ”draw again” so I’ve decided to start to draw from a sketchbook of mine from the year 2008, a seven years differs could be visible. 😉

The year 2008 was most Winx fanart for me 😉 so it will be a lot of Winx Club Fanart re-make now and forward!!

ß This is the painting from the year 2008, I’ve made a fanart of Bloom in some sort of weird ninja suit x)

ß So here is the ”draw again” painting I made today, it was more of a quick sketch lite the first one.

Today I bought a new pallet colours – Cotman Water Colours by Winsor & Newton – 12 colours

When it comes to the colour I have used uptill now it have been watercolours that maybe cinder garden and schools uses for children. I have this theory that you don’t have to have the best colours in the world to be a good painter, you don’t need the best equipment to be the best painter. You don’t need the best camera to take the best picture. If you don’t know how to use the camera it doesn’t matter how good the camera is if you don’t know how to use it, the picture will still be bad. The same thing goes for paint. I think that if you don’t know to use the most basic paint, it won’t matter how good the paint are, you still haw to know how to use it to make the best out of it.

The colours I bought was of course a lot more colour full then the colours I was currently using before this and of course the colours are better but I’m happy I waited this long before getting them so I cud get the basic with colours into my head.
