National language competition in Sweden

  • Competitions and award ceremonies

Take part in the 2026 European Day of Languages competition in Sweden and you could win a language course worth SEK 25 000. Secondary and upper secondary school students are invited to record a 1-minute audio message in one of the competition languages, describing a favourite place in Europe as a riddle without revealing its name. Entries will be judged on creativity, language use and clarity.

The competition is open to students attending a secondary or upper secondary school in Sweden. Participation is individual. Entries must be submitted by 15 September 2026, together with the registration form and a transcript.

English and Swedish entries are not eligible. The winner will receive a language course worth SEK 25 000. Full competition rules and submission details are available from the organisers.
