
Interested in a paid, 5-month traineeship at DG Translation? Registration for the March 2027 Blue Book traineeship opens on 22 July 2026 at 10:00 (Brussels time) and closes on 4 September 2026 at 10:00 (Brussels time).
Each year, DG Translation welcomes around 100 trainees to its offices in Brussels and Luxembourg. Participants gain hands-on experience in areas including translation, editing, communication and event organisation, legal affairs, finance, AI and data science, while learning how the European Commission works from the inside.
Who can apply
Applicants must:
- hold a university degree by the application deadline
- have C1/C2-level knowledge of English, French or German
- have at least B2-level knowledge of a 2nd EU official language
- be able to translate into their main language from 2 other EU official languages
