Dat duurde.... That took long.....

Het is ook halfjaar geweest met veel ziekte en heel moe zijn.

Langzamerhand komt de zin aan bloggen weer terug....

Daar maak ik dan meteen even gebruik van.

It was a 6 month with a lot of sickness and being very tired.

But....slowly the need to blog returns...

And one has to use that.

Dus vandaag ben ik zo goed als beter van een vervelende griep 

en dan kun je lekker even spelen met Lotje (Elna-Lotus-SP).

Die ook zichtbaar geniet om even weer wat te doen!

Hier werken we aan scrap-hexagonnen "in het wild";

lekker van allemaal restjes!

So today I'm almost recovered from a nasty flue

and it's just fun to play with Lotje (Elna-Lotus-SP).

She enjoys working again as well!

Here we make scrap-hexagons "in the wild";

all scrappy!

En een boxje allemaal restjes....

(kan er niet toe komen zulke stukjes weg te gooien....)

And a box of scraps...

(can't get  myself to throw those little pieces away..)

En dit zijn ze dan samen.

Het moet natuurlijk nog wel wat groter worden;

quilts zijn  juist heerlijk om onder te liggen...

And here they are together.

Ofcourse it has to grow a bit more;

quilts are just so great when you can snuggle under them...

Soms...... Sometimes....

gaat alles zo snel, dat je even vergeet om een blogje te schrijven.... (bloos..bloos...sorry...).

Oké, hier gaan we dan! Hier is Carolina Chain (een patroon van Bonnie Hunter -klik) op het frame.

Wat is dat toch handig; ik ben superblij met mijn frame; het scheelt echt heel wel rug- en knieen werk.....

Het frame is van de fa Meeuw (klik), even voor de geinteresseerden.. ;)

En hier is Easy Street net van het frame af!

De binding moet er nog aan, maar dat  kan later nog en is altijd een leuk karweitje voor op de bank bij de tv.... ;)

Have to put the binding on, but I can do that later. Besides it's always nice for an evening on the couch in front of  the tv... ;)

Een Elna Lotus SP!! Gemaakt tussen 1968 en 1978 in Zwitserland....

Een lief klein machientje en ze naait prachtig!

Ze heet "Lotje"...... ;)

Hier boven staat ze dicht; gaat open als een Lotus-bloem (vandaar de naam..)

En hier onder is ze open..

An Elna Lotus SP !! Made between 1968 and 1978 in Switzerland...

A sweet little thing and she runs so great.

I called her "Lotje" .....  ;)

Above she is closed; opens up like a Lotus-flower (hence the name..)

And beneath she is open..

Natuurlijk moest ik meteen een handleiding zoeken en haar schoonmaken van binnen en van buiten....

Maar... alles werkt en soepel ook!

Moest even wat hexagonnen "in het wild" naaien (paperpiece manier).

Leuk, hè?! De stempel voor deze komt van Jeanneke... (klik)

Ofcourse I had to find a manual for her rightaway and also had to clean her inside and out....

But.... everything works and smooth as well!

Ofcourse I had to try to sew some hexagons "in the wild" (paperpieced).

Isn't this great?! The stempel for this one comes from Jeanneke .. (click).

Here you see a few sewn together. Nice he?!

En dan had ik als Leader and Ender (voor wie niet weet wat dit is even ... klikken...)

Allemaal 3,5" 9-patches!

Ondertussen was ik de tel natuurlijk kwijt...

en toen ik ging tellen, kwam ik uit op 218!

Ik had er 210 nodig voor deze quilt:

And this is what I had as a Leader and Ender (for the ones who aren't familiar with that expression.... click).

All 3,5" 9-patches!

Ofcourse I lost count......

and when I counted, I came at 218!

Samen met Yvonne (van Budel); een Singer 15K-88 trapnaaimachine uit 1936.

Een schatje van een machine; ze werkt altijd!

Uiteindelijk had ik 42 blokken.

Leuk om al die "rommel"-stofjes te zien, he?!

Nu nog in elkaar zetten met de sashings ertussen.

Wordt vervolgd zeggen we dan maar..

Finally I had 42 blocks.

Nice to see all those scrappy-fabrics, he?!

Just have to ad the sashings;

but that has to wait till next time...
