There probably should be a rule
About waiting to say April fool!
Until the first day
Of the month, but I say
Expectation subversion is cool.
Month: March 2026
Eeny, Meeney, Miney…
Whoever reminded
My lawn it could grow
Didn’t ask if I’m ready.
(The answer is NO.)
Divided Highway
Teslas excepted,
The higher the MPG
The less chill with kings.
Guess What?
If I had to guess
It would be an awful guess
I don’t like to guess
Running On And On (And On)
My father, at my age, was taller
Than I am, and I expect
That that won’t change: Though he’s grown(?) smaller
I’ve still time to course-correct,
Which I look forward to because
In many ways he’s blazed the path
I’ve tried to tread — he is and was
A model modern polymath:
An engineer and architect;
A pilot of the air and sea;
A leader who commands respect
Through wisdom, wit, diplomacy,
And by example, which is why
I hope to emulate the way
He sets and meets a goal, and try
To finish this in time to say
Before midnight, Happy Birthday!
10-Word Recap: The Lehman Trilogy
Starting from nothing,
Finance makes it possible
Someday to return.

My ears ring so much
During allergy season
I’ve stopped answering
The Early Bird Gets The Worm *First*
The surest sign of spring, they say,*
Is birds regurgitating worms
For birdies smaller still than they
Who’ve clearly never heard of germs.
*Okay, I’m “they.” True, anyway.
Feeling Alive
There’s something like five oceans
And more than seven seas;
There’s lakes and bays and waterways,
More coves than kinds of cheese.
Add in water vapor,
H2O is everywhere!
So you can bet that when you’re wet
From now on, Betsy’s there.
