Jon McMillan 已分享Cervical cancer prevention & diagnostics remains a critical focus across Emerging Asia, where we continue working to advance women’s health through technology and innovation. Recently, we hosted a series of educational events across Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, India, and Singapore focused on the impact using digital cytology and HPV screening practices. The Team also held our 1st virtual workshop with 10 countries on digital cytology, where we showcased Genius™ digital imaging and AI‑driven morphology analysis and explored how these technologies can support routine cytology workflows. Hologic’s Genius™ Digital Diagnostics System represents an important step forward for cytology. By combining high‑resolution digital imaging with AI‑based morphology analysis, it helps labs review slides more efficiently, supports consistent interpretation, and enables greater collaboration, education, and remote consultation capabilities that are increasingly important as healthcare systems modernize. Together with clinicians and laboratory partners across the region, we are helping expand access to more advanced screening approaches that support earlier detection and better outcomes for women. #CervicalCancerPrevention #WomensHealth #DigitalCytology #HPVScreening #MedTech #HealthcareInnovation, #hologic

Jon McMillan 已分享I’m pleased to see that for the 5th year running, Taiwan has come top of the Hologic Global Women’s Health Index, this year with a score of 69. This compares to the global average of 54. But the consistent high scores hide a more telling story on preventive care. While the scores for emotional health and individual health have increased, those for preventive care still have an opportunity to further move higher which is why Hologic Taiwan continues to work with stakeholder, partners and local communities on initiatives to further increase cervical cancer, infectious diseases, and breast cancer through access, education & awareness, and technology advancement. Thank you to all who have been part of this evolving healthcare journey in Taiwan and around the region to advance healthcare and especially for women’s health. Jon McMillan 已分享Recently the research studies from the Lehigh University scholar students was published in the Perspectives on Business and Economics Journal titled “Resilient Taiwan” where I was invited to write the introduction and share my insights on Taiwan’s business, healthcare, culture & society and technology and innovation on a place that has been my home and center of my professional life for over 25 years. Today, Taiwan stands at a critical point in its growth and global position in trade, investments, and technology. This reality made supporting the Lehigh University Martindale program in Taiwan even more significant, given the opportunity to share with the scholars my Taiwan experiences and perspectives. The conversations during their visit were engaging and profound, covering Taiwan's aging society, its national healthcare system, economic growth and foreign investment climate, alternative energy and innovative technologies such as AI and semiconductors, and women's programs and rights. Thank you to #lehighuniversity, #martindalescholars, #resilienttaiwan, #hologic and congratulations to Martindale Scholar students where you all have a tremendous opportunity to advance your connection to Taiwan and return to contribute to its resilient future. Jon McMillan 已分享Healthcare access, prevention & treatment technology, and patient & family care have always been at the forefront here in Taiwan; and it is inspiring to have these critical platforms such as the “Healthy Aging Forum” bringing together leaders to discuss progress and also address what lies ahead. Tremendous Appreciation to Amcham, the planning team, and the public health committee for making this event a standard for strategies & plans-for-action in Taiwan. Go “Healthy Taiwan”Jon McMillan 已分享🌿 2026 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐀𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 | 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫-𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 With Taiwan officially entering a super-aged society in December 2025, the conversation around aging is moving beyond longevity toward a broader focus on health, dignity, and resilience across the lifespan. As demographic shifts accelerate, addressing aging-related challenges calls for coordinated efforts across healthcare, policy, innovation, and society as a whole. To help advance this dialogue, AmCham Taiwan and AIT convened the 2026 Healthy Aging Forum, bringing together government representatives, healthcare leaders, industry experts, and researchers to explore how Taiwan can navigate the challenges—and opportunities—of a super-aged society through meaningful public-private collaboration. 💡 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐝: • Building sustainable healthcare systems for an aging population • Strengthening prevention and chronic disease management across the life course • Leveraging medical innovation and digital health to support healthy aging • Enhancing care delivery models for patients, families, and caregivers • Reframing aging as an opportunity for societal resilience and long-term growth We thank all speakers and participants for their thoughtful insights and contributions. We are also grateful to our 2026 forum sponsors — Amway Edwards Lifesciences, MSD Taiwan, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, and Vantive — for their continued support and commitment to advancing healthy aging in Taiwan. With the perspectives shared at this forum, AmCham Taiwan remains committed to serving as a platform for dialogue and partnership, working alongside the public and private sectors to help shape a healthier, more sustainable future for Taiwan’s aging society.

Yesterday I wrapped my first Robotics Summit & Expo. Two full days of learning from people building the future of physical AI, making new connections, and getting a first-hand look at the technologies pushing the field forward. The energy was real, and so was the talent in the room. But here's my honest takeaway: there's still a significant gap between a demo and a robot doing real work alongside humans. One question stuck with me from yesterday morning's keynote: Is your robot "worthy"? Worthy of operating next to people. Worthy of being trusted with a task that actually matters. While walking the floor, I noticed how few robots were genuinely working versus posing for photos (guilty as charged 🙂). This is why safety has to be a first principle, not an afterthought. When a robot shares space with a human and handles real tasks, stability, reliability, and safety aren't features - they're the price of admission. At TACTUS AI, that's the standard we're building to. We're developing humanoid lab assistants designed to take on the repetitive, pre-analytical work in regulated laboratory environments - so skilled scientists can focus on what they do best. Not flashy. But built to actually work, safely and reliably, in some of the most demanding settings in healthcare and diagnostics. The future is genuinely exciting. But it'll be earned by the teams who treat "worthy" as the bar. Grateful for everyone who shared their time and ideas this week. #Robotics #PhysicalAI #HealthcareInnovation #Diagnostics #LabAutomation #HumanoidRobots #RoboticsSummit Jarin Foster Andrew Ward, MS Emily Warenda James Fox Chris Vitale Jim Hammerand Jiaxi Kevin Su

Over the last several years, I’ve become increasingly convinced that in MedTech, service is no longer a support function — it’s a strategic growth engine. When you lead a global recurring revenue business at scale, the conversation quickly becomes much bigger than break/fix response times. It’s about: * Customer retention * Installed-base strategy * Operational execution * Predictable growth * Digital enablement * AI-driven workflow transformation * And ultimately, customer trust The organizations that will lead the next decade are the ones that successfully connect commercial strategy, operations, technology, and customer experience into a unified operating model. At Hologic, our Global Service vision helps ground how we approach that responsibility every day: “One Team: passionate in what we do, trusted in action, delivering for the benefit of patients everywhere.” That vision is bigger than service alone. It reflects how we partner across teams, support our customers, and continue evolving how service creates value across the enterprise. In healthcare especially, uptime matters. Workflow matters. Responsiveness matters. Not just for business performance — but for the clinicians and patients depending on these systems every day. Grateful for the teams around the world who continue raising the bar and driving meaningful impact for our customers and the patients they serve. #Leadership #Operations #MedTech #CustomerExperience #RecurringRevenue #Transformation #HealthcareInnovation #OperationalExcellence

After two and a half meaningful years, I am closing my chapter with AmCham Taiwan. Serving as Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. I have had the privilege of working alongside an exceptional team, dedicated member companies, government counterparts, policy leaders, and partners across Taiwan and the United States who care deeply about strengthening the economic, strategic, and people-to-people ties that define this relationship. I am especially grateful to the AmCham Taiwan leadership, Board of Governors, committees, and member companies for their trust and support throughout this journey. Together, we navigated complex policy issues, advanced constructive public-private dialogue, and contributed to conversations that matter for Taiwan’s competitiveness, resilience, and international engagement. This role has taught me that effective public affairs is not only about policy outcomes. It is also about trust, consistency, listening carefully, and building the kind of relationships that allow hard conversations to become productive ones. I will carry those lessons with me into the next chapter. As I move forward, I do so with deep appreciation for the journey past and genuine optimism for what lies ahead. Taiwan will continue to play a critical role in regional security, innovation, and global supply chains, and I remain committed to contributing to that broader mission in new ways. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this chapter. I am grateful for your leadership, friendship, mentorship, and support. Onward to new beginnings.

Globally, 1 in 20 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, making earlier action more urgent than ever as we approach #ASCO26. The burden is rising, especially in low- and middle-income countries, and the need for transformative solutions has never been clearer. At AstraZeneca, we are focused on using innovation to enable earlier diagnosis and help ensure patients receive the right treatment sooner. This is critical to improving outcomes at scale. I’m looking forward to engaging with the oncology community at ASCO and translating insights into scalable solutions that can make a meaningful difference for patients globally, across diverse healthcare settings.

Biomedical】 According to the 2024 Healthcare and Medical Industry Annual Report, Taiwan’s biomedical industry reached a total output value of NT$773.9 billion, signaling significant market expansion and industrial momentum. However, behind this growth lies a critical challenge: while biomedical innovation is gaining high visibility, public understanding has yet to reach a profound level. This is a clear gap where technology attracts attention, but its actual impact and value remain unclear to the public. This is not merely a lack of information, but a sign that communication is lagging behind innovation. In this edition of SynerGood Selects, Iris identifies two challenges in biomedical communication: ▪️Strict regulatory frameworks lead to conservative communication, hindering a comprehensive articulation of technological breakthroughs. ▪️Public trust is not built on persuasion, but on a clear explanation of the institutional and regulatory context. As innovation transcends professional circles into the public discourse, "how we communicate" becomes the deciding factor in whether breakthrough technology can earn public understanding and trust. 👇 Read the full article /閱讀完整文章👇 #SynerGood #SynerGoodSelects #Biomedical #BiomedicalInnovation #BiotechIndustry #StrategicCommunication #MarketInsights
