Summer School

Summer school lasted 3 weeks after school was let out. Hannah met two of the teachers that would be teaching first grade: Mrs. Larcom and Ms. Stridde. Truth be told, she already knows Ms. Stridde very well and was excited to have her as a teacher for summer school. She's bummed she won't get Ms. Stridde for a teacher but was so excited to have her for a little bit.

They did lots of fun things including seeing a blind (yes blind) magician:

A science guy:

Doing yoga:

Writing letters in cream:

Finding toads at a nearby pond:

Here she is on a bus ride with Ms. Stridde:

Hannah also had swimming lessons for a couple weeks. Phones weren't allowed but my mom and I snuck a few. :) She was excited to be in the same class as James

Hannah's last day of kindergarten

Where did this year go?

Hard to believe Hannah is officially a kindergarten graduate. :(

Here she is on her last day:

And for fun....and to see me cry....here is a comparison of Hannah on her first day of kindergarten and her last day of kindergarten:

Look at how much she has grown! Look at her face---she doesn't have the baby face anymore :(

Unfortunately with my work schedule I wasn't able to pick her up on her last day. :( That was really hard for me. Grant picked her up and took her out for ice cream---a tradition we did last year on her last day of 4K and one I want to continue. I was glad Grant took a few pictures for me:

Out for ice cream!

Hannah's Letter Writing Journal

Throughout the year, the kids wrote in their "Letter Writing Journal". I can tell which letters Hannah did at the beginning of the year and which ones were at the end of the year. It's fun to see how she progressed.

"I see a butterfly"
"I see a gingerbread girl!"
"You are my favorite dad. He is cute. I see my daddy"
(Didn't get this one done. There are a few she didn't quite get done :))
"I love heart"
"I see a ice cream cone"
"My jam is red"
"I see a Maeve"
"I love my mommy"....awwwww
"I see a pepperoni"
"Queen"
"I see a rainbow"
"A pizza sun"
"Turtle"
"I see a V"
"I see a wine at Friday night Mommy".....(how embarrassing! Can't imagine what the teacher thought. I do enjoy a wine on some Friday nights :))
"I see a yellow bird"
"I see a zebra"
