Jacaranda Books is an award-winning, Black-owned independent publisher and bookseller.
Founded by Valerie Brandes in 2012, we are an award-winning, Black-owned independent publisher of literary and genre fiction, as well as non-fiction.
With our mission statement Bigger Than Books, we are dedicated to promoting and celebrating diverse storytelling in all forms, and to directly addressing the ongoing lack of inclusion in the book trade. We are particularly interested in writing from the perspective of the Global South.
Jacaranda Books is also the publisher of the Twenty in 2020 collection and A Quick Ting On series.
