  • How do you make a packaging standard that has supported patients for over 50 years more sustainable? We’re establishing mono-polypropylene (PP) as an alternative to traditional PVC-Aluminium blister packs, which are challenging to recycle in traditional waste streams. Our life cycle approach to more circular packaging solutions brings together scientific rigour, patient-centred design and collaboration cross-sector collaboration through the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Forum. At Climate Week NYC next week, we’ll be engaging across our sector and beyond to keep raising the bar and finding new ways to build a healthier future, for people, society and the planet. • When a chest X-ray unexpectedly revealed a tumour in her left lung, Jan quickly learned how biomarker testing, such as testing for EGFR mutations, could help determine the best possible treatment for her specific cancer type. Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer death globally. At this year’s World Conference on Lung Cancer, stories like Jan’s serve as a clear reminder that early detection, biomarker testing at diagnosis and precision medicine can contribute to improved outcomes and longer-term survival. By identifying the specific genetic characteristics of a tumour early, clinical teams can match patients to targeted treatment strategies when it matters most. #WCLC26

Addressing inequity in lung health starts with understanding where care gaps exist and who is most impacted. A new Lung Health Equity Framework provides a consistent way to identify and measure this across COPD and lung cancer care pathways. Developed with input from an international advisory committee and policy experts from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), this evidence-based resource can help inform targeted action – giving policy makers, health system leaders and advocates: · A shared set of equity indicators to pinpoint care gaps across COPD and lung cancer pathways · A way to identify underserved populations most impacted · A decision-making tool to direct resources where they can have the greatest impact Swipe through to see the key Framework policy recommendations for advancing lung health equity. #LungHealthEquity #LungHealth #HealthEquity The Lung Health Equity Framework has been developed by LCP Health and initiated and funded by AstraZeneca.
