One year on from the Lilac Review, momentum continues for disabled entrepreneurs - but there’s still more to unlock. Earlier this week, we hosted a special event at our London HQ (One Braham) with The LILAC Centre and Small Business Britain, bringing together founders, partners and policymakers, including Sir Stephen Timms, Minister of State for Social Security and Disability, to reflect on progress and what comes next. The opportunity is significant: disabled founders make up 25% of UK small businesses, but account for just 8.6% of turnover. As Johnny McQuoid, Managing Director, Group Business Services at BT Group, said: “We’re committed to removing barriers that prevent disabled people from fully participating in the economy… this event was a powerful reminder of the progress made – and the responsibility we all share to level the playing field.” As a founding signatory of the Disability Trading Framework, we’re backing practical action to support inclusive supply chains and help disabled entrepreneurs build, grow and succeed. #ABetterBTForAllOfUs

What a treat to sit down with my old colleague Sir Richard Harpin and have a conversation for the Business Leader Podcast. It was a trip down memory lane and a great chance to shine a light on BT Group’s strategy, the important work we do – and the people who are the beating heart of BT. Thank you Richard for having me, I hope it gives your listeners good insight into what BT means to the country and how proud I am to be leading such a brilliant company and team. #ABetterBTForAllOfUs

AI adoption at scale depends on trust, resilience, and control. We recently announced plans to work with Nscale to deliver sovereign AI data centres in the UK, using NVIDIA full stack AI infrastructure. This will expand the nation’s AI compute capability and help organisations adopt AI securely, at scale, and under UK control. The collaboration will extend BT’s sovereign portfolio, enabling public and private sector organisations to run AI workloads in the UK while meeting data residency, security and regulatory requirements. We’ve been delighted to welcome operators and vendors from across the world to our One Braham London HQ this week, as we hosted the GSMA’s Networks Working Group. It’s been a brilliant few days of open, constructive discussion – with great energy in the room and a strong focus on collaboration as we work towards advancing our shared industry priorities - from shaping specifications to promoting best practice for network deployments and service rollouts. A huge thank you to the GSMA team and everyone who joined us. We’re proud to have hosted such an engaging event and look forward to building on the progress of this week in the months ahead #Networks #Collaboration #ABetterBTForAllOfUs
