About us

The Global Schistosomiasis Alliance (GSA) is the network facilitating collaboration, coordination and knowledge exchange for the control and elimination of schistosomiasis. Our Vision: A world free from schistosomiasis, where countries achieve elimination as a public health problem and progress toward the sustainable interruption of transmission. The Mission: The GSA is the impartial, trusted space for evidence-based consensus for the global schistosomiasis community. We convene and mobilise diverse stakeholders, catalysing collaboration and knowledge exchange across sectors and regions. Our work strengthens country‑led action to accelerate progress toward eliminating schistosomiasis as a public health problem and achieving sustained interruption of transmission. The GSA network and platform is funded by Merck (Merck KGaA)
