As the final spotlight of our 2025 Flight Awards, we’re recognising the winner of the People’s Champion Award. Every team has that one person you can count on. The one who shows up, no matter how busy. For the Financial Lines Group, that person is Jason Rose. Winner of our People’s Champion Award, Jason’s support has been felt across the group time and again. With over 30 years’ experience, he’s always on hand for colleagues, despite a demanding workload, and continues to lead with empathy. His influence has strengthened client retention, accelerated onboarding and fostered a more collaborative culture. For junior colleagues navigating challenges like US surplus lines placements, Jason’s patience and clarity have been invaluable. From all of us at Howden, congratulations Jason! #Howden #Insurance #PeopleFirst #Teamwork #Leadership #FinancialLines

A proud moment for our in-house Creative team, winning Best Internal Film at Campaign's iconic Brand Film Awards, up against strong competition including the Financial Times and Delta Air Lines. The film was created during a pivotal period for Howden, as we accelerated our US expansion, built global partnerships with The British & Irish Lions and set a bold ambition to grow to 40,000 people by 2030. Shared with our top 100 leaders, it set the tone for the year ahead, bringing focus to what matters most: our clients. Centred on a big idea: Like No Other. The film activated our brand platform with a call to our people, a promise to clients and a guide for how we make decisions and act. As Atif Mahmood, Chief Creative Officer, said, “Like No Other is about continually raising standards and thinking differently to solve the problems others can’t or won’t.” Credit to our Creative team led by Atif and Corporate Comms team for capturing the spirit of Howden, with special thanks to Mikey Dilworth, Jennifer McAlone, Mairi M., michael Banbury, Mark Fuller and Howard Goodwin. #Howden #LikeNoOther #Creative #Film #Insurance #BrandFilmAwards

Breaking barriers to a more sustainable future takes innovation and conviction. And that focus on practical impact sits at the heart of our Best Force for Good Client Solution Award. After developing a bespoke solution with Lloyds Banking Group to support the transition to electric vehicles at pace, it was only fitting that our winners were the Financial Institutions & Advisory team. By removing key barriers to electric vehicle (EV) adoption, they helped accelerate roll out, support sustainability goals and deliver real-world impact for one of the UK’s leading financial institutions. Congratulations to Colin Reddy, Alan McNamara, Holly Roberts-Harry, CFA, Guido Cafaggi and the wider team for driving impact and innovation in the UK automotive market. #Howden #Innovation #Sustainability #Insurance #ForceForGood

What happens when thousands of people around the world give their time to support their communities? In May 2025, our colleagues did just that. From volunteering groups, charity walks and clean-up initiatives across the UK, to tree planting in Colombia and community fundraising in the Philippines, Global Group Giving Month brought people together in different ways – all united by a shared purpose. And this year, it’s back. Throughout May, our people across Howden will once again come together to support the causes that matter most to them. From food banks and city farms to community event and charity runs, they’ll be taking action in their local communities around the world. Different places. Different faces. One shared goal. Because when our people come together with purpose, the impact goes further. #Howden #GlobalGroupGivingMonth #GiveYourWay #PeopleFirst #ForceForGood

Last week in London, colleagues, partners and clients from over 100 countries joined us for an unforgettable Howden One Network Global conference. It was a valuable opportunity to connect, share perspectives and build on the strength of our global network. Clients, insurer partners and our subject matter experts shared how we continue to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes for multinational clients. From expanding our multinational offering, to partnering with the Howden Foundation, the conversations were open and practical. Thank you to our partners, clients and speakers, including Sarah Hughes, Matteo Scagliarini, Morwenna Howell, Mark Perry, Nina Arquint, Matthew Lacy and many more. If you’re a multinational service provider, contact Ted Jameson to find out more about the Howden One Network. #Howden #HowdenOneNetwork #Insurance

Services are what clients remember. They make the difference. They’re built on trust, consistency and showing up when it matters most. Which is exactly what our Richard Elias Award for Exceptional Client Service celebrates, with its well-deserved winners, Mirka Strano and Matt White from Howden EMEA. Once our founding father and first chairman, Richard Elias is remembered for always putting people and clients first – defining the Howden culture that still thrives today. This special award recognises everything he stood for: friendship, professionalism, generosity and trust. Together, Mirka and Matt have consistently delivered outstanding service, earning repeated praise from clients for their professionalism, responsiveness and expertise – with one describing Howden as being in “a different league”. Their commitment played a key role in securing one of the largest employee benefits accounts in UAE history, while driving strong cross-border collaboration and unlocking new opportunities across the region. From all of us at Howden, congratulations Mirka and Matt. #Howden #ClientFirst #ClientSupport #EmployeeBenefits

We’ve agreed to acquire the Hymans Robertson Insurance & Financial Services (IFS) team, marking an exciting step forward in how we support the insurance market. Alongside the risk and longevity specialists that joined us through Barnett Waddingham (BW), we’re bringing around 90 experts together globally. This means more support for our clients, greater capacity for large and complex projects and even deeper expertise where it matters most. Glenn Thomas, CEO and Global Practice Leader, Health & Employee Benefits, Howden, said: “By bringing together Barnett Waddingham’s long-standing insurance actuarial capability with the Hymans Robertson IFS team’s proven expertise in delivering strategically critical projects, we’re creating a best‑in‑class advisory proposition for clients.” Read more about the acquisition here: https://ow.ly/qGfw50YBawP #Howden #Actuarial #Insurance

The Strait of Hormuz continues to present tough challenges – but the marine war insurance market is open for business and ready to support. A common misconception since the conflict began is that that insurers have stopped covering vessels in high-risk areas. The reality is that notices of cancellation are repricing mechanisms, not withdrawals. The London market is quoting daily. Our latest insight covers what operators need to know – from war risk repricing and charter party clauses to rising cyber threats and the steps to take now. Worth a read if you have assets anywhere near the Gulf. It’s been a turbulent start to 2026, with war in the Middle East further destabilising an already high-risk world. Against this backdrop, trade credit and political risk insurance (CPRI) plays a critical role in supporting businesses through periods of geopolitical and macroeconomic volatility. Our latest research, as featured in The Economist highlights: ▪️ CPRI enables corporates, banks and public sector entities to trade through volatility and seize high-return opportunities, while protecting against physical asset losses ▪️ With a premium base of $49bn, CPRI and the associated surety market stands out for its scale ▪️ Trade credit has delivered an underwriting profit every year over the past decade, despite the severe 2020 recession ▪️ 80% of multinationals plan to use at least one political risk management tool between 2025-30, up from 68% in 2020-25 Our CPRI team, led by Matthew Strong, is here to support businesses with specialist intermediary expertise and leadership.
