Our overall Impact Awards WINNER, crowned the LGC Impact Champion was Carys P. Falco, PhD! Together with her team, she has been working to advance ultra-trace detection of contaminants such as lead, helping laboratories identify risks earlier and safeguard communities by providing clean and safe drinking water. Better measurement, enabling better protection. Of her win, Carys said, "I believe that effective science communication is an invaluable tool to better understanding our customer needs, so being recognized among my incredible fellow presenters, all of such stellar caliber, was personally humbling and motivating. It reminded me that even though I only recently joined the LGC team, I am very proud to stand with them and to be a part of this company." Celebrating impact across LGC: Introducing our first Impact Awards This year, colleagues from across LGC stepped forward to showcase the impact of their work. From strengthening forensic science and improving diagnostic safety to advancing sustainable chemistry, protecting global food systems and helping ensure access to safe drinking water, the breadth of impact across just 15 finalists alone tells a powerful story. At LGC, our mission is Science for a Safer World. But what does that really mean in practice? It means helping laboratories produce accurate and reliable results. It means supporting the development and manufacture of advanced medicines. It means enabling earlier detection of diseases. It means helping feed a growing global population safely and sustainably.
