Scottish Event Campus (SEC) reposted this
I’m thrilled to share that I recently joined the Conference Sales Team at Scottish Event Campus (SEC) as Senior Association Sales Manager, focussing on the International market, and already closing in on a month in post! This new role marks an incredibly exciting next chapter for me. The opportunity to join a world class conference venue with such a talented, well renowned team was one that I couldn’t say no to. I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on the existing momentum, identify new opportunities, and contributing my experience to support the continued growth of our International associations business. Here’s to the journey ahead!

It was a pleasure to host Glasgow Chamber of Commerce – Glasgow Talks at the SEC today. We were delighted to welcome members for an inspiring conversation with Phil Batty OBE, CEO of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, sharing insight into what lies ahead for the city. Working closely with organisations like the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce is a vital part of how we work together with Glasgow’s business community and we’re incredibly proud to be a host venue for the Commonwealth Games in 2026, playing our part in welcoming the world back to the city. A great morning of ideas, ambition and collaboration

Time Out Group plc has named Glasgow 'The underrated UK city that is one of the greatest places to visit in Europe in 2026'. When Glasgow receives cultural recognition like this, we consistently see it reflected in exhibition audiences at the SEC. Visitors arrive curious, engaged and keen to explore - and that energy carries into events, supporting stronger attendance, longer dwell times and more positive experiences for both organisers and exhibitors. https://lnkd.in/e6i68Xm2

On Thursday we hosted our annual SEC Burns Supper at the stunning Banking Hall in London. It was brilliant to continue our 40th anniversary celebrations with our friends and colleagues. A true highlight of the evening was hearing from our CEO Dominic McKay, where he unveiled our ambitious plans for the future – Destination SEC 📍 We extend a huge thanks to our fantastic speakers, each with their own tie to exciting events happening at the SEC this year. It was an honour to have JJ Chalmers deliver the Toast to the Lassies in the year of the 2026 Commonwealth Games hosted in Glasgow, and to have Elaine C. Smith deliver the Response ahead of her 10-show residency at the OVO Hydro with Two Doors Down Live. A Burns Supper is not complete without music, so we would like to thank our band Bahookie for leading the Ceilidh; violinist Aiden MacDonald; and piper Dougie McCance. And not to forget our talented SEC Choir who helped make the evening truly memorable 🎶🎻 Finally, a huge thank you to our sponsors Compass Group, Glengoyne and Glasgow Convention Bureau. Here’ s to the next 40 years of creating incredible 🥂 #SECBurnsSupper
