Harvey Gamal &
Abdelrahman Moussa 🇵🇸, Co-Founders, CARD-Y
Harvey built PayLi, a freelancer payments platform, before merging it into Card-Y. He has closed deals across MENA and EMEA, scaled teams, and generated revenue across verticals from BPO to EoR software at Rivermate. He is currently enrolled in Harvard Business School Online's CLIMB programme and has a track record of building revenue pipelines ahead of product maturity.
Abdelrahman spent years building backend infrastructure at Jumia, one of Africa's largest e-commerce platforms, and before that at fintech startup Cashcall, where he led projects from design to deployment. A serial founder with a previous co-founding stint at OaaaPay, he brings deep fintech infrastructure experience from inside some of the region's most complex systems.
Card-Y is a fintech and HR compliance platform built for the 14 million freelancers and cross-border workers in emerging markets.
It gives freelancers access to global payroll, corporate-grade perks including health benefits, financial products, and legal compliance, while giving the businesses that hire them the infrastructure to do it cleanly and compliantly.
The operating system for freelance life in a region where banks treat irregular income as a red flag.
Egypt has 14 million gig workers. Most cannot get a bank loan, health insurance, or a corporate card. Card-Y is building the infrastructure they have always been owed.
