Earlier this week, we put it to the test. Three teams - London, Paris, and Barcelona. Two days. One challenge for the Spendesk hackathon: bring our vision to life and build something that proves we don't just talk about it, we ship it.
Work better is where we started. Spendesk was built to give finance teams efficient workflows and control over spend. Now, AI lets us automate even more.
Our hackathon teams tackled exactly that: invoice email context display, meaning critical supplier notes don't disappear, and AI-powered receipt matching - straight from your inbox, so you can eliminate manual hunting.
Spend smarter is about turning data into better decisions at the moment that matters, leveraging €10bn in annual spend, to pioneer the new category of SP&A (Spend Planning & Analysis).
So, our teams built a Spendesk Shopping Agent that lets you search products, compare vendors, and request approval in one flow, plus a voice-of-the-customer AI pipeline that routes insights from support tickets directly to the teams that can act on them.
These are prototypes, but we can already see how they have the potential to transform the finance playbook, helping teams become the growth drivers they want to be.
We're building for that future. We're automating the operational work so finance teams can focus on decisions that drive progress.
