Orb of the night

At every turn I run into you,
Your incessant presence is quite remarkable.
Your graciousness is unmissable!
So still, yet moving,
Gliding through rampantly-
Abiding by an unspoken promise
To never leave me bereft.
Your transcendent aura emits tranquility &
as I continue to gaze at you, I see nothing;
But a messenger of the Divine’s love & creation.
I often find myself-
envying the companionship of the stardom- that follows you.
It may aghast you to hear that thought of mine, but I may add that-
these redundant thoughts merely hold any weight!
It’s all forgiven in love & war- they say;
Who am I to question the fabricated truth.
I’m just another human with a raging tempest on the inside,
Bickering contingencies on the exterior.
So dear Lunar light, it seems that I’m here
At your grace,
Yearning for your curvy embrace which makes me feel at solace.
Eluding the reality for a teensy while,
I shall see you in my dreams tonight!

Knowing thyself

Nature perpetually finds a way around (Pinterest image)

Nature perpetually finds a way around,
So shall we, despite the adversities of life!
Entrenched with strong roots of wisdom,
We are branches of the same Collective being!
Nothing lasts forever, but our Spirit.
It’s about time, to grow spiritually &
To intertwine with
the omnipresent:
For Renaissance of our adrift soul!
Nature perpetually finds a way around,
But, will we?
Where’s our attention?
Inside us or loitering outside?
There is a dire need
for contemplation &
Integration with the truth: the Divine.

Changing

I'm changing at every turn of life
But the folded corners of me remain untouched
I'm changing at every turn of time
But the spirit that I'm continues to shine
I'm changing at every turn of emotion
But I'm still learning to witness before reacting
I'm changing at every turn of the circumstances
But the strength that I'm is still within me
I'm changing with every wave of ocean
But the drop that I'm, I evanesce in the same water
Where I lose my I and become one with the whole.
I'm changing all the time
But the love and compassion within abides.

Into Oblivion

Fencing my thoughts away
into oblivion,
I let myself percolate into the universe.
Wrapped snugly under the blanket
of stars that lit the magnificent night sky.
Fencing my thoughts away
into oblivion,
I let myself graze the blades of grass
that cautiously held the drops of dew
From falling onto my foreign skin.
Fencing my thoughts away
into oblivion,
I let myself muse over the infinite stretch
of sea that ceases to contain within
the boundaries drawn by man.
Fencing my thoughts away
into oblivion,
I let myself crawl over the soft earth-
that absorbed all the negative within
leaving space for the
intertwined roots of love & joy
To deepen down & touch the soul;
That fell short of tender, love and care.
Fencing my thoughts away
into oblivion,
I let the divine knowledge quench-
the thirst of roots that grew deeper
To unite the soul with it’s creator.
Fencing my thoughts away
into oblivion,
I let myself abide by the energy-
that birthed within & around
to live a life with the sole purpose
of being one with the divine.

Dear Starry Skies,

Dear starry skies

Do you feel it too?
The thrill that I feel
when I look at you;
I’m astounded by-
the power you have over me!
Oh dear starry skies,
I stare at you Starry-eyed
pulled in by your magnificence.
Oh dear starry skies,
You embellish the beautiful night sky-
While the lunar light falls short
of the charisma that you carry through!

Sail of Life

Soothing lunar light-
Falling on your dewy skin.
Gazing starry eyed at
The infinite horizon;
Attempting to
Grasp every single detail.
Living in the moment
Breathing in crisp air
Letting yourself
Go with the flow.
Setting sail of life
In the direction
Of the wind.
Surrendering oneself
To the energy within & around.

Reminiscing

Thunder clad monsoons
of the city that never sleeps,
came with power cuts
that kept us warm!
United us all
under one roof;
from sipping adrak wali chai
to hogging sizzling fritters, &
with transistors blaring
in the background.
Those days were the best-
our childhood days;
Now, here I’m-
reminiscing the old memories &
cherishing each moment
And I can’t cease to smile.

Moonlit Night

©️Shambhavi

Its a moonlit night
Shining down on us,
Starry eyed the velvet sky-
Of blue so deep & vermilion.
On the brink of extinction-
“Fear” tonight;
Bidding farewell to the
Redundant thoughts,
That are now beyond the mind
Which craved for peace once
Is now clothed in solace.
With every crease of passing time
Abandoning thoughts far behind;
Embellishing the moment
With caressing wind & energy divine.

Nature’s Lap

Ebony rocks bearing streaks afresh
Amidst varied shades of green
Under the blue expanse
Tiny streams gurgling
Trees of Banyan and
Gulmohar tangerine
Lushness of the meadows
Cows grazing in vicinity
Of clouds that have gathered
To shower their blessings
Its indeed a beautiful day
Ornamented with pleasant
Cool breeze
As it caresses my face
I continue to sit
In the lap of nature
Suffused with the energy
That surrounds.

Season of hope

With leaves crimson red
Flowing past us,
Fallen detached on the ground-
Amidst the leaves green and crisp.
Reminding us of the undeniable
Fact of life which is often forgotten-
We must never lose hope!
As the leaves turn red,
they fly away
Leaving space for new ones.
This is the season of hope;
Let the light of hope and faith
Illuminate your life forever.
