The revised Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) Regulation entered into force on 18 July 2024. It requires EU countries to collect and submit to the Commission urban mobility data per urban node in the fields of sustainability, safety and accessibility. The first data submission is foreseen for 31 December 2027. For that purpose, the Commission will adopt an implementing act that defines a limited number of indicators.
The European Commission is inviting stakeholders and citizens to share their views on this draft implementing act under Regulation (EU) 2024/1679 on the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).
The draft act sets out how EU Member States will collect and submit urban mobility data in the fields of sustainability, safety and accessibility. It defines indicators for assessing progress in these areas and establishes common methods for collecting and reporting data across Member States. This will help monitor progress towards more sustainable, safe and accessible urban mobility across the EU.
The feedback period runs until 19 November 2025 (midnight Brussels time). All feedback will be considered when finalising the act and published in line with EU feedback rules.
