  • AloqaVentures Met with Leading Investors of the GCC Region On November 3–4, the AloqaVentures met with major investors and startups from the GCC region, including Golden Gate Ventures, Tiger21, Techstars MENA, and STS Capital Partners. The discussions focused on the startup ecosystem of Uzbekistan and Central Asia, its future development, and potential opportunities for collaboration. Representatives of STS Capital Partners and Tiger21 shared their experience in helping regional startups expand into international markets, attract investments, and achieve successful strategic exits through their global investor networks. Golden Gate Ventures, one of the largest and prominent venture funds in the Gulf region, expressed strong interest in the rapidly growing Central Asian startup ecosystem and confirmed their willingness to invest, exchange expertise, and explore strategic partnerships in the near future. These meetings will open doors for our fund’s portfolio and the entire regional startup ecosystem—connecting them to global markets, connect to major investors, and strategic players for future “EXIT” opportunities.

    AloqaVentures is partly exiting from zypl.ai. During the AI Beyond Heights conference, both sides announced that an agreement had been reached between AloqaVentures and zypl.ai CEO Azizjon Azimi. AloqaVentures originally invested $150,000 in zypl.ai in Q2 2022, and is now partially exiting its share at a 6x return, achieving an impressive 73% annual IRR. zypl.ai is the first portfolio startup of AloqaVentures and AloqaVentures is one of the first investors of zypl.ai Azizjon Azimi is considered of the best founders on our portfolio who is dedicated to building cutting edge tech that changes how industries work and disrupts markets. We believe that Azizjon and his team will build the first Tadjik unicorn and wish him best of luck in this path.

  • AloqaVentures participated in the international conference “AI Beyond Heights 2025” held in Dushanbe 🇹🇯 The AI Beyond Heights conference brought together leading experts, researchers, investors, and startup founders in the field of artificial intelligence. AloqaVentures and JSC AloqaBank teams took part in the event together with our portfolio startup Deepen. The discussions centered on how AI technologies are transforming various sectors of the economy, unveiling new opportunities and challenges for businesses and governments alike. Throughout the event: Reforms in the field of artificial intelligence in Tajikistan were presented Keynotes, practical workshops, and professional networking sessions were held 20+ international speakers from Google DeepMind, Perplexity, NVIDIA, and over 10 venture capital funds participated Startups showcased their products through live demos and exhibitions For AloqaVentures, this conference marked an important step towards deepening the AI ecosystem across Central Eurasia and the Middle East, fostering new partnerships, and supporting innovative projects through joint investments. During the event, JSC AloqaBank and AloqaVentures reached new cooperation agreements, while our portfolio startup Deepen secured a strategic partnership to enter the Tajikistan market.

  • AloqaVentures portfolio startup pitched to the President of Uzbekistan One of AloqaVentures’ promising portfolio startup, Detecting AI, presented its innovative project during a high-level event attended by the President of Uzbekistan. Founded by Abdulla Abrazzoqov, Detecting AI is an advanced system designed to analyze text, image, and video content to determine whether it was created by artificial intelligence or by a human author. The project’s mission focuses on: • Promoting academic integrity and identifying AI-generated academic works • Detecting false and manipulative information • Strengthening cybersecurity and building public trust In his remarks, the President highlighted the importance of such technologies for the national education system, emphasizing that all universities in Uzbekistan should actively implement AI-detection solutions in the near future. Supported by AloqaVentures, Detecting AI operates at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, developing specialized AI-verification modules for universities, corporations, and government institutions. To date, the platform has attracted over 300,000 users across 25 countries, continuing to expand its global presence and impact.

  • AloqaVentures participated in the investment roadshow in London! On October 13–14, 2025, the major investment roadshow “New Uzbekistan: The Big Country with Big Opportunities” was held in London. The event aimed to showcase Uzbekistan’s investment potential and strengthen international cooperation. Alongside leading companies, banks, and investment funds, the AloqaVentures team also took part in the official Uzbek delegation. As part of the visit, a Networking Reception and a VIP IPO Workshop at the London Stock Exchange were organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan and Fieldfisher. Additionally, the AloqaVentures team held meetings in London with fellow Uzbeks who founded startups such as Moneff, Datox, and Geomotive.

    AloqaVentures at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 From October 13–17, Dubai hosted GITEX GLOBAL, the world’s largest technology and startup exhibition. AloqaVentures actively participated in the event, establishing valuable connections with DIFC Innovation Hub, Ignyte, Gacsym Ventures, Antler, and Shorooq Partners. The fund also met with international startups looking to expand into the Central Asian market, exploring potential areas for collaboration and investment. As part of the Central Asian Innovation Hub, leading startups from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan — including Fleetroot, Gluon, Geomotive, BRB Tech, Delever, IOKA, Finflow, eXpace, Alem, and Qulla ai — presented their innovative technologies and solutions to a global audience. These connections mark an important step toward linking the Central Asian startup ecosystem with the global venture community.

The main goal of the event is to showcase Uzbekistan’s investment potential, strengthen strategic partnerships with international stakeholders, and launch new collaborative projects. As part of the visit, a Networking Reception will be organized in London by the British Embassy and Fieldfisher, along with a VIP IPO Workshop at the London Stock Exchange for the business delegation.   • AloqaVentures Representatives at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy AloqaVentures Fund Director Sukhrob G‘aybulloyev, Principal Investor Mirolim Abdullaev, and Startup Garage founder Mukhammad Khalil met with representatives and students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. 🌐 The main purpose of the meeting was to encourage young people’s strong interest in startups and provide them with practical knowledge about pre-acceleration processes, stages of building a startup, and principles of operation. During the discussion, both sides talked about developing the university’s incubation centers, investing in promising startups, and strengthening collaboration with the university’s Startup Club. They also proposed joint initiatives to expand internship opportunities for students and employment programs for graduates. A memorandum of cooperation is expected to be signed in the near future. AloqaVentures representatives shared their experience and gave valuable advice on the skills and knowledge needed to achieve success in the startup ecosystem. As a result, both sides agreed to continue the discussed initiatives and move toward signing a cooperation memorandum.
