Alarm plays.
Life calls,
Bed befalls.
Ground is cold.
Feet complain.
Groan escapes.
Swiped eyes,
Search for light,
Ache in the torso,
Reminds me of the years left.
Wish I turn back time,
To create a rhyme,
That’s all mine.
An unflustered unsung melody.
That I hum in my shower.
