An outdoorsy LOTD for you today, I headed on over to my favourite location – Neva Sky Villi – for this autumn pic.

Mostly I just wanted to show you guys this new sweater dress from Bueno that’s out now at Kustom9. With it’s form fitting shape, it’s easy to layer with vests or large jackets and works perfectly with leggings, stockings or bare legs. Sweater dresses are always versatile and simple to style in these colder months, so it’s an easy purchase!

She rules her life like a fine skylark

Quick LOTD for you guys with lots of new items and a bunch that were released last week at C88. I’ve only just gotten round to shop there but I really love the Modern Alchemist theme that’s going on.

Little Bones are participating as a guest and this is one of THREE hairs that you can find from them there. Big curls and a hat included, it was love at first sight for me. The cardigan from Emery is a great staple item for my inventory, honestly I can never resist a cardi. Any designer that makes one, is pretty much guaranteed to get Ls from me. This one was easy to pair with the laced up pants from Ison.

Also from this witchy round of C88 are the necklace and clutch from LaGyo. As usual LaGyo have released a complete set that is perfectly themed for the event and these are just a couple of the unique, inspired pieces you can pick up. The bookcases in the background can be found there too, made by Lark they come with and without decor.

The top under my cardi is the metal top from Pixicat, released today at the main store in a selection of colours there are also a blue and green coloured version available for FLF, today only! Don’t miss out on that bargain and make sure you visit to pick it up.

Finally I added the Roche fringed boots from Baiastice that are out at November’s round of FaMESHed. I was ecstatic when I saw these, I do love me some fringe in fall! They’re super easy to dress up and down too.

I wanna be your Friday night

So who hasn’t seen these jackets from Foxes at N21 and gone absolutely crazy over them? I think I saw the WIPs and ads all over plurk for at least a week before they were released! At 450L it’s not a cheap buy but the quality of the mesh, textures and options you get, make it well worth that. You can wear it with or without the hood, with or without the fur collar. All the fur is colour changeable on a HUD and let’s not forget that it comes with a T-shirt inner version too, which is also texture change. You have endless options to play with, so it’s really worth the money.

We paired it with this short, jersey dress from Maitreya, which isn’t new but is one of my faves. I confess to wearing it far more often than I probably should. It’s just one of those really easy, classic things to throw on when you don’t have time, or can’t think of anything else to wear.

The shoes both myself and Harper are wearing, are a sneak peak of what will come from JD at Uber next week. The socks that Harper’s wearing are included with the shoes and the shoes are made to fit all manner of mesh feet/bodies.

I love it when the 8th falls on a Monday, it gives me a reason to actually look forward to the start of the week since that is of course when C88 opens it’s doors.

This month’s theme, Miami Electric, is a bright, bold one, with lots of 90s throwbacks. Including this high ponytail, complete with texture change scrunchie, from Lelutka. Lamb also released a similar style and I admit that I got a fair bit more excited than a woman my age probably should, over a scrunchie.

One of my favourite items though, was this cage top from Baiastice. I do tend to get dressed up a lot in world so I already know that I’m gonna be pairing this with shorts, skirts and pants till my heart’s content. It does show a lot of skin so if you end up feeling a bit naked (like I did) then something like Ison’s bolero is a great addition.

I decided to wear these runner shorts from Emery, which were released last week at FaMESHed, since they are another of my favourite releases over the past few days. Classic and sexy, with bold prints and bright trims, they go perfectly with items out at C88.

I wanted to keep accessories simple, since the top is the eye catcher on my torso, so I didn’t add any jewellery but I am using this great clutch bag that LaGyo released, as well as a pink bubblegum add on. Both are out today at C88.

Do It Like A Dude

I’m back with a pretty mainstream LOTD today. Yes I’m wearing a baseball cap, knee pads and platform ankle boots. It works right, right?

I was inspired by this Like A Dude hair from Little Bones that you can grab at Swag Fest and comes with the baseball cap included. Obviously that’s great coz you don’t have to worry about trying to edit hair and hats which as we all remember from our old prim days, usually takes forever and a lot of time ends up as one hot mess.

I really liked this casual pullover this from shirt from ::K:: that comes in both male and female versions and will be out when the next round opens on the 5th. Once I decided I wanted to wear this then the rest of the outfit sort of fell together.

The skirt is from the new and exciting brand Bueno, at Kustom9. Great mesh and detailed texturing plus good price points, for both men and women, means I can’t wait to see more from them. The boots I’m wearing out new from Pure Poison at FaMESHed and will bring a great edgy look to any outfit. The knee pads are rigged mesh and you can find them from Coco at Uber. I wanna wear them a lot just coz I don’t think I’ve ever owned any in SL before!

You Think I'm Pretty, Without Any Makeup On

With so much going on this week, I’ve got yet another LOTD post for you. This time I’m wearing a mix of releases from The Seasons Story, which opened today and a couple more Collaborate pieces.

This adorable dress is from Pixicat at The Seasons Story, out today. I cannot tell you enough how impressed I am with this brand. They’re still relatively new and the collection of items is small – yet growing, but each and every item they’ve put out has been different and unique compared to anything else on the grid. On top of that the quality of mesh and texturing is second to none. If you’re looking for something that’s not “just another dress” then make sure you visit Pixicat to snatch this up, both patterns and solid colours are available.

I’m wearing a new hair style from Little Bones that’s out at The Secret Affair in a few days, and I don’t think it’s possible to describe how loud my inner squeal was when I saw the pearl headband that’s attached to the curly tresses. I tried to convince a friend a while back that we needed a pearl headband in SL, I have a couple in RL which get a lot of use, but we decided it would be better if it came attached to a hair. Nova must’ve read my mind coz that’s exactly what she’s released, even with a long ribbon that trails over your back. There’s not enough curly hair in SL in my opinion, so this is a welcome addition.

I paired both of these with the amazing safari necklace from Ison, out at C88 and the Lara sandals from Pure Poison that you can pick up there too. Pure Poison has released a pretty big line of SLink compatible sandals this season, with the Lara being one of three great new releases she launched at Collab. To finish the look off I added the fringed bag from Zenith, also at C88.

Don't Wake Me During Summer

I seem to remember that last year I didn’t take many winter or festive photos, so now I’m making up for it. That’s my excuse anyway. Plus I’m really enjoying all the cool, bright shades – I think it suits the type of photo I usually like to take.

So even though it’s nearly the holidays, Glam Affair and Tableau Vivant seem to be working over time with a slew of new items available at winter themed events. I’m wearing the super pretty and feminine Snowfall hairstyle from Tableau Vivant that you can find at the Frost event, plus their headpiece from the Snow Queen hair that’s out at The Seraphim Social. These fancy eyelashes from Glam Affair can be picked up there too. The skin is also a new Glam Affair release that you can find with 3 different make up options at the Frost event in Tableau Vivants booth.

Finally I’m wearing a new set of bracers and necklace from Enfant Terrible, that you can pick up at We ❤ RP. They're a great accessory, perfect for a snow queen!

So much exciting new goodness at C88 this round. I was even up early enough to go as soon as it opened which is the first time in a long time for me, of course the sim crashed after 20 minutes before I could even rezz properly or buy anything, but that’s all part of the fun eh?

Anyway after a couple of more successful trips, I managed to grab a few things. First of all this vest from Ison, I’m so in love with it. I think now I should’ve fatpacked it because I know I’m gonna end up buying at least 2 or 3 more different colours. It’s just a perfect casual add on to any outfit, and is not too hard to fit over other mesh.

I can’t get enough of this Dreadlow hair from Tableau Vivant either. It’s so different to what I’m used to and even though I’ve seen some great pictures of people really rocking other dreads in SL, they never seemed to suit me. I think the hat makes the difference with this one though, which of course comes with a HUD to texture change. If dreads aren’t your thing then there’s a regular hair version too.

One of the main reasons I was so excited about this round was that Maitreya was participating. Like any good SL fashion lover, I’m a huge fan of theirs so to seem them being a part of something like Collab just about made my day. The leggings I’m wearing were one of their releases, as well as an over sized coat which I’m sure will find it’s way onto my blog some time this week.

Finally, my background is just multiple copies of the new Philby TV from Seven Emporium who were making a guest appearance at C88 too. It’s a great vintage decor piece, comes with several different texture screens to choose from, as well as varying levels of noise and if that wasn’t enough there’s a ton of matching items available too. Perfect for creating your cosy, winter, indoor setting.

Collabor88 opened it’s doors today for it’s October round, showcasing items from great designers as usual, all themed around the palette and mood board “Black Magic”.

I don’t think I can adequately describe my love for this asymmetrical leather jacket by Ison. I just think it’s amazing and I know I’m going to wear it lots and lots. There are tons of colours to choose from and each comes with a HUD which is scripted so you can texture change the top beneath it to a ton of colours. This is so easy to pair with skirts, shorts or pants, it’s really a great piece for your inventory.

The hair I’m wearing was a new one Truth released yesterday, and like his last hair I blogged it’s not got as much volume as his usual hairs, so it’s right up my alley, plus I’m loving the mid length hair lately too.

The necklace is a new item from Maxi Gossamer at C88, comes with matching earrings and is scripted to colour change between black, silver and gold so you can match it with any outfit! Finally the futuristic headphones are a great new accessory from Ispachi at The Mens Dept that also are scripted to colour change and come with an awesome matching futuristic music player for you to hold.

That’s all from me today, I need to get back to do some more shopping!
