Oh no!

I just found Caydence in her crib diaper-less for the first time. Oh great....

And why was she sleeping with just a diaper on? She puked ALL OVER herself and her stroller while we were out.

It hasn't been my favorite day as a mother....

Surgery: Part 2

Sorry this is going to be short because I still don't have much feeling in a few of my fingers, but I just wanted to tell everyone that the surgery went great. It was fast and easy, and the healing is going well. I've got a big bandage on my whole right hand, and it has to stay for 2 weeks and it can't get wet, so it's a bit of a challenge, but everyone has been so great to help me. Things are going well and I just wanted to say thanks for all of the well wishes!

Surgery

So tomorrow I am getting what we loving refer to as my "6th finger" removed. I don't think these pictures quite do it justice, because it is huge.

I discovered it about a year ago, but it wasn't nearly as big. I figured it was a cyst because I've had one before. It took me forever to get into a doctor, and he made me go to a plastic surgeon, which was another long wait. So I am finally getting it taken care of. The plastic surgeon said she is pretty sure it is a giant cell tumor. I'm excited to get rid of it, because it is starting to really get in the way and it really hurts when it pushes on my finger.

I am a little nervous about the surgery, but then I remember I had a c-section, and it doesn't seem so bad. :) So wish me luck, I'll let you all know how it goes!

Sometimes I am crafty...

Sunday was Danny's mom's birthday and I always want to find unique and thoughtful gifts, so I am pretty much on the lookout year round for good ideas. I saw this idea on the abc 4 morning show, (I think it's called Good Things Utah.) I thought it was pretty cute, so I gave it a try.

The woman doing this demo was from Roberts crafts and she said you could get everything you needed there....not true. I went in to ask them what they used, and they had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently, the people who are on the morning show don't pass on the info to all their stores, which is pretty lame. So I looked at the ABC 4 website and they said the hanging frames for the pictures were jewelry pieces, so I went back and looked in the jewelry section and still couldn't find anything.

So Danny and I went to Ben Franklin searching for something we could use. We finally settled on these (they are glass circles) and they are actually Christmas ornaments, but I mod podged the pictures on the back, and they made nice frames. (And they were a little bigger than the ones they used so you can actually see the pictures.) I even hung them and curled the wire, put the wire on the top, and added the ribbon on the top.

I included a picture of Danny's sister's family, our family, and his parents. I really liked how it turned out, and I just had to share it.

Labor Day Weekend

We had such a fun Labor Day weekend! It was so fun to have Danny home from work and to spend some time with our families.

We spent Saturday at Antelope Island at the balloon festival. Unfortunately, there wasn't all that much going on that we were interested in, but Caydence and I took a ride on this little train. Caydence is starting to be afraid of EVERYTHING, so it was tough to get a picture where she wasn't whimpering :)
Then my dad put her on this buffalo, and she continued whimpering.
Saturday night we went to the Bees game. It was perfect weather, and we had so much fun. We sat on the grass in right field so Caydence could run around. We were lucky enough to have both of our families there and we just had a great night. Unfortunately, a little girl (probably about 4 years old) right in front of us got hit right in the head with a ball from a home run at the beginning of the game. It was awful!! But she ended up being ok and and the rest of the game went smoothly. The ending was amazing: We were down by 1 in the bottom of the 9th, with a runner on 1st base, 2 outs, 2 strikes, and the batter hit a home run! It was amazing!!! They ended the night with a fireworks show, and of course, Caydence was afraid and crying again.
Here she is on Danny's shoulders at the game.
On Monday we went to Park City with my family and rode some of the rides. Danny and Nicki rode the Alpine slide, and the rest of us rode the coaster (WAY FUN!) We all got pretty sunburned, but it was worth it.
On the way home, we stopped at a park in Morgan and played some games and put our feet in the river. I thought Caydence could just put her feet in and not get too wet, ha ha. She ended up swimming in her clothes! But she had lots of fun and especially liked throwing the sand all over.
I know these pictures are way blurry, but I just loved her face in this one!
We ended the weekend with dinner with my family and then batting cages with our friends! It was such a fun filled Labor Day weekend! Thanks to everyone that made this weekend so fun!
