Once you’ve chosen the type of real estate zone that best fits your needs, choose a location for your new home. From the tropics of Caldera to the open fields of New Kansas to the stunning landscapes of Aurora, there are many beautiful locales to choose from.

It is recommended that you visit the location and inspect the area before you commit to living there. Once you decide on just the right place to call home, you can purchase the rental rights and begin decorating!

ThereHouses

Therehouses are pre-fabricated homes created by There with a limited style of houses. They are stationary homes that cannot be moved. ThereHouses are the only Real Estate products in There that are completely private. The houses have zone Permissions, Event Hosting Privileges, Ignore Capabilities, and Weather and Environment settings.

ThereHouses are available in the following regions:

  • Sutter’s Camp
  • Tabu
  • Tyr
  • Upper Tiki Valley

PortaZones

A PortaZone (PAZ) is a portable Zone that can be dropped on one of the many Islands in There. When a PortaZone is dropped in-world its rent meter begins to run. You can live in your own unique PAZ or you can team up with a group of other PAZ owners to form a PAZ Community. You can pick up your PortaZone at any time and move it to any other in-world location that allows dropping. No rent is charged while the PAZ is 'in your pocket.'

PortaZones do not have Ignore capabilities, Event hosting features or Permissions. PortaZones do have Environment and Weather settings.

PAZ placement options in There are relatively open-ended, allowing PAZ owners to place structures in a wide variety of locations and settings in-world.

But be aware there are some basic guidelines for where and how to place your PAZ. The Real Estate Placement Policies document provides guidelines for the proper placement of Real Estate structures in There, along with correct procedures for escalation of abuse and griefing incidents specifically related to Real Estate.

Neighborhood Zones

Neighborhood Zones are pre-set 20-Acre, 45-Acre and 100-Acre parcels with no pre-placed objects inside the zone boundaries. Initially, Neighborhoods are empty of Lots, which are then dropped by individual Neighborhood members.

Neighborhood zones and Lots have zone Permissions, Event Hosting Privileges, Ignore Capabilities, and Weather and Environment settings.

Neighborhood Owners (landlords) can make a profit from Lot rent paid by tenants.

Neighborhood Zones are permanent, but Neighborhood Lots (the small zones inside them) are portable and can be moved both within a NH Zone and to another NH Zone.

Neighborhood Zones are located all over the world!

Neighborhood Lots

Neighborhood Lots are essentially reserved areas of empty land that can be placed into one of There’s Neighborhood Zones. Dropping a Neighborhood Lot allows you to build and create whatever you wish in your own space. When a Neighborhood Lot has been purchased, you can fill it with objects like trees, houses, and other decorative items. New Lots can be purchased from Shop Central. As a Neighborhood Member; you will pay a fixed amount of rent per month to the Neighborhood Zone owner.

Join the Neighborhood's Club (every Hood has its own club Group) in order to get the landlord's permission drop a Lot.
