Cracked is a fun word game that keeps you scrambling for words. You and your friends race to answer word challenges and toss the cracking egg to each other. The player left with the cracked egg, loses mega-points. The player with most points at the end of the game is the winner! Other members can watch the game in There from the 3D board that tracks the words you've entered, and total points. Winners will qualify for the Cracked Skills Leaderboard and also be ranked by total points accumulated over all games played.

The objective of Cracked, is to win by getting the most total points across multiple rounds. To win each round a player must correctly answer each round's word challenge (ex. Words that begin with the letter "T"). Points are earned for each correct word. Extra points are given for each letter over the standard 6 letter word entry. Points are deducted for misspelled words or if the egg cracks while it's your turn.

In each round, players may answer the same challenge question a number of times. The round ends when the egg timer cracks. When the new round begins, you have a new challenge to answer.

• Each player will have 2 places where they can see their status;
• The HUD (Heads Up Display): a 2D game board. This is where the player types their word answers to the challenge
• 3D Game Set: Chairs around a large game board that shows the status of players in the game.

To Get Cracking

• The first person to sit is the Game Host, regardless of where they sit. If the Game Host leaves, the player to their right becomes the Host.
• The Game Host sets the game options;
• Level: EasyOver or, HardBoiled
• Number of rounds in the game (1-10)
• Number of players (1-4)
• Players may sit in any seat. As they join a seat, their name will appear on the HUD, and also the 3D game board.
• After the minimum number of players has joined, the Game Host may start the game at any time.
• The game begins when the Game Host, clicks the "Start" button on the HUD.

The Round

• Each challenge round begins with a challenge statement appearing in the center of the HUD and on 3D sign.
• There is only 1 challenge presented to players in each round. Players must continue to submit words that answer the challenge every time it is their turn.
• Rounds are randomly timed. The round is finished when the egg timer cracks.

The Play

• The starting player is randomly selected by the game.
• Player turn is indicated by the "active" player having an arrow marker next to their name on the HUD and an egg timer appearing in their avatar's hands.
• The active player types in their word, answering the challenge, in the box below the challenge. They must click the "Enter" button to submit their answer.
• The word will appear on the HUD and 3D game board with their points. Negative points will appear in ( ) and in red.
• To move the egg to the next player, the active player must enter an accepted word. The active player must keep entering words until they submit one that is accepted or they will not be able to pass the egg.

• meet the challenge criteria
• are spelled correctly
• have not been posted within the round, by another player
• are not profanity
• are under 20 letters
• are in the Cracked dictionary
• The Game Host may eject an avatar from their seat. Other players will be notified when this happens. This is for cases where a member has to be AFK unexpectedly.
• Another player may join a game in session. They will be included at the beginning of the next round directly after they have joined the game. They will join and be given 0 points.
• A player may give up their seat to another player, and also transfer their earned points to that second player.
• To do this, the second player must re-join within 5 minutes or the points will all be cleared.

The Score

• Level: Easy Over -
• If the egg cracks on you = -20 points
• Each word accepted = +10 points
• + each word over 4 letters = +2 points per letter
• rejected word = -3 points per word submission

• Level: Hardboiled -
• If the egg cracks on you = -20 points
• Each word accepted = +15 points
• + each word over 4 letters = +3 points per letter
• rejected word = -3 points per word submission

The Eggcellent! Game

• The winner of a game of Cracked, is the player with the most points accumulated over the total game rounds.
• There may be tied winners. Both winners will be credited with the win in their rankings.

When starting a new game, the Table Host has the ability to tailor game play with the following options:

Game Challenge

• Level: EasyOver: one spelling rule (ex. Begins with the letter "b") or,
• Level: HardBoiled: two spelling rules or more (ex. Contains "th" and ends with "r")

Number of Rounds

This option indicates the number of Rounds per game. This option can be set at anywhere between 1 and 10.

Player Options - Not Yet Implemented

Number of Players

This option specifies the minimum number of players required before the Host can start a game.

Minimum Rating

This option specifies the minimum Skill Level required for a player to join the game.

Maximum Rating

This option specifies the maximum Skill Level required for a player to join the game.

Is Listed

This allows Zone Host to list the game with the activities service.

Option Page Availability - Not Yet Implemented

This allows Zone Hosts to restrict game options from being changed by someone without Zone Hosting Permissions.

Require Host to Start - Not Yet Implemented

This prohibits anyone from starting a new game except a Zone Host.

Require Password - Not Yet Implemented

This option protects the security and privacy of a table with a password.
