So for Christmas we visited Dan's family in West Virginia. We did it in 2 days because it's a long time to travel with little ones. Thankfully Jonny, Megan and Seth live sort of on the way, so we stopped there on our first night and spent the night. The next day we all traveled to the Blood's home. We had a great time with his family and Jocelyn loved playing with her Aunt Joanna. I was able to go shopping and cook and bake because I had entertainment for Jocelyn and hands for Megan. It was so nice. I made my usual pies for Christmas. Dan and his dad love apple pie, so that was an obvious one. I also made the crust for lemon merangue and pumpkin. I also made a French silk pie- how divine! I'm assuming everyone liked the pies because they were gone pretty quickly.

We got pictures of Megan in her Christmas dress for Sunday. Here she is looking beautiful. And some good news from that day is that Jocelyn went to nursery for church and loved it. She made an ornament that said Jesus loves me (or something like that). She has never gone to another place and been very happy. She likes her teachers and doesn't normally do well in a strange place. Yea for her!

We were in a hurry and forgot to take a picture of the 2 girls in their dresses. Sorry.
On Christmas morning Big Megan and I had our little ones dressed alike. We thought they were adorable.
And I was able to take a picture of Jocelyn and Megan on Christmas morning. Jocelyn loved opening her stocking and seeing all the goodies she received. We even put out cookies and carrots the night before for Santa and his reindeer. She was so excited because Santa left her a note saying Thank you for the treats. It was so cute. Then after the stockings were opened, we all went into the living room to open our presents under the tree. Jocelyn had so many that we went through the kids and she had another turn before the adults opened theirs. I think two of her favorite presents were her Piglet and her dollhouse. She was so happy to play with them and still does. One day we played with the dollhouse the entire day. And she sleeps with Piglet and Pooh, and now Tigger every night. She's going to get kicked out of her bed by her animals.

We had some exciting news over the Christmas break. My little Sister had her first baby, a little girl and what a cutie. And on Christmas day, Dan's sister had her first baby, also a little girl. So on the Blood side, the had 3 new grandchildren this year, 2 girls, 1 boy. And on the Hales side, 2 granddaughters. So our kids will have cousins to play with on each side. That's a great thing.
And Megan is now sleeping through most of the night. She sleeps about 7-8 hours a night, I feed her and then she sleeps another 3-4 hours. She's been going to bed around 9:30 or so at night so I have a little bit of a break to myself at night. This is a much different story from her first few weeks where she would only sleep on me and wouldn't go to sleep until 1-2AM. That was one of the worst periods of my life. It was so difficult for me to stay sane and not get too depressed. But we're out of that stage and now I have a wonderful baby who is almost always smiling and has such a calm, sweet personality. We love our little girls so much, they are great!
Now here is a video of Jocelyn sliding down the stairs at our house. She loves to do it, but I have to make sure she doesn't do it too much or else she will get a rug burn on her stomach. This she has done before. But she's pretty quick.
In this video Jocelyn was jumping on the trampoline at Grandma and Grandpa Blood's house. It was a nice day out and so we didn't need coats. She was having a blast. She definitely loves the outdoors.
In this next video Jocelyn is playing Grandma's piano and singing Teach Me to Walk in the Light from nursery. She loves the piano and many times tell me that it's her turn to play. I thought it was adorable.
