4 Months

I can't believe it but Megan is 4 months old. She is such a big girl now. She can grab at things, put her thumb in her mouth, laugh, follow you with her eyes quite well and roll on her side. She loves her monkey play gym and has great belly muscles. She enjoys standing now too. And I need to mention that she sleeps 12 hours at night. I feel so lucky and blessed. We just love our little girl and are so happy that she is in our family. Sometimes I cry with the emotions that I have. It's really amazing how you can love someone so much. The joy children bring into our lives is awesome. I think Megan has a patient personality and will be very easy going.

And of course the 2 girls. Jocelyn loves having her picture taken with Megan. And of course she's holding her baby. She likes to do what I do. If I burp Megan, she burps her baby. If I nurse Megan, she does likewise. It cracks me up. Having daughters is so great. Though I hope our next one is a boy so we can have both. Not that we're trying yet. I am not nuts. I need to let my body recover from the c-section, plus I really enjoy my time with Megan as a baby.

Valentine's Day

I wanted to put up some adorable pictures of my girls on Valentine's Day. Here is Megan in her Valentine's outfit. So cute! She smiles so much and is really a very well-tempered baby. She cries occasionally, but that's about it. I just adore my little girl.

And here is my adorable Jocelyn. She cracks us up. On Sunday night she says "It's cold outside, that's why I have my coat on." What a smart little girl. She is so fun to be with.

And here is a picture of the two of them together. Jocelyn has her "baby" as well. I love this picture.

Earlier in the week Jocelyn and I made sugar cookies. We did mostly hearts with a couple of music notes and a piano. But the rest are hearts. Jocelyn helped me cut some out and tried to frost, but that was hard, so her job was to put sprinkles on the cookies. I think she did a great job! And the best thing is that we get to eat our work. Yummy.

Another addition to our family

So last weekend while Sandy and Chris were visiting, Dan and I decided that my car wasn't worth all the money that was needed to keep it running. Mazda was having a special with no interest and we've been thinking about the Mazda 5. So, we went and test drove it with Megan. (San watched Jocelyn for us- Thanks!!). We loved it and now own it!! We have a silver Mazda 5. It's a crossover car that seats 6, but drives like a car- ours is a standard as well. It also has great gas mileage. Dan and I almost have to draw straws or play rock, paper, scissors to see who will drive when we are together. We both love how it drives. So without further ado, here is our new addition.

So on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the kids had school off. So Jocelyn, Megan, and I went up to Lori's so that the cousins could play. Below are the before pictures of going outside. Let me tell you how long it takes to get kids ready for playing in the snow- almost forever. Obviously not the older girls, but Jocelyn had to have so many layers. She was great about it though. She loves to play with all three cousins and had a blast outside. Megan stayed inside with me though. A bit young for the cold winters.

They were throwing snow up in the air.

On the last weekend in January Sandy, Chris and baby Claire came out to see us. We had such a great time with them. Claire is just 2 months younger than Megan so it was so great to watch them interact. They were looking at each other and we captured them almost holding hands. Way to cute. Megan is on the right and Claire on the left in pink. I just love that they are so close in age. Hopefully they will be the best of friends.

We just met but already love each other! Wow, you're little like me!

And here is my beautiful Megan sucking her thumb. I just wanted to get a picture of it because I think it's so adorable. Jocelyn never had any desire to suck her thumb, fingers, pacifier or anything else for that matter. But Megan since birth has always tried to get her fingers to her mouth. I just love how adorable she is. I think this helps self soothe her to sleep. Go Megan!
