So far behind but I love looking back so I'm promising myself that I'll keep going documenting our little life over here. We finished up the summer with lots of soccer tournaments for Haylee. Club soccer is not for the weary!! So many games in hot hot weather, and rain, rain, rain once fall, winter, and spring hit. And there are no breaks for practices and games. We had lots of ice cream dates, play dates, backyard swimming sessions, and frog catching.
We also try to keep our brains going strong in the summer too. Glow in the dark mini golf. Running through sprinklers on the side of the road that we just couldn't resist was a highlight, playing water balloons with one of Haylee's good friends, Ava, and an ice cream date with my main squeeze! The rodeo at the county fair with good friends! Frog and snake catching, not my favorite summer pastime but these kids of mine love it! Back to school shopping. The kids work all summer to earn money for this. Clothes $10 and under they pay me a buck, $20 and under they pay 2 and so on. This year we might up the cost a little. They'll need to work more while I'm sitting on the couch snuggling my newborn. The zoo! The solar eclipse!! I think we were in 90 something totality. We could have driven pretty easily to 100% totality but truthfully I just wasn't that into it. Happy to watch it from our own front yard and watching it on the TV. Gearing up with gear for the fall sports season. I really have no idea what happened to his pants or shoes at this point. It's a major feat taking him anywhere really. Primary activity, I love being with all my kids! Haylee won a cooking competition, train rides at the mall and forever dressed up like lightening McQueen all summer. Have I mentioned Haylee played a lot of soccer last summer?? Thankfully most tournaments had ice cream to keep this boy dirty and somewhat sitting in one place for 5 mintues. Happy August 2017!
