Halloween 2017 was a busy blast! It started with the costume parade at school, followed by the carnival put in by the upper class men, and a class party. Then, a quick costume change before heading to dance class, and finally, after all of that, the main event: trick or treating. 

Rosie got a huge bag of candy from tennis class today, perfect for a little pre-gaming the night before Halloween! 

Boo! 

Medusa made an appearance at our church’s Trunk or Treat tonight. Rosie got the idea for Medusa in a Wonder Woman book she read, and she was intrigued when Mommy told her if she was Medusa for Halloween that she would get to spray her hair green! Another fun night in the books! 

Rosie spent the evening at Hogwarts (at the Science Center!) She made a wand with a dragon heart string at Ollivander’s, concocted some Troll Snot at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, made it through the Triwizard Maze, dissected real owl poop at the Owlery (for real!! Yuck!), ate with other wizards in the Great Hall, and so much more. It was a ton of fun for this little Harry Potter fan. 

Mommy loves watching Rosie do new things at gymnastics! 

Rosie B rocked it in the pool today, then met up with Daddy for dinner and used chopsticks for the first time! 

Rosie made a pine cone bat at school today, got a special treat at the popsicle shop, and finished the day dancing around a pumpkin. 

Rosie picked up these pine needles and said, “These must have fallen from our state tree, the Pine!” 😂🤔 And Mommy and Daddy also received a very special note from Rosie’s Primary teacher at church that was too sweet to not mention. It read: “It has been such a privilege to have been Rosie’s sunbeam teacher this year. I just love that little girl. I always have her read words in class for the other children. She always knows all the answers and listens so well. She’s a natural leader that does what is right in really any setting. You’ve done such an incredible job raising her. You are so blessed to have such a beautiful, wonderful, intelligent and kind little girl. I simply love sweet Rosie!” Rosie is a lucky girl to have so many wonderful people in her life. ❤️

This little Hermione look-alike couldn’t have been more excited to attend the Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone Symphony with Daddy at the Alabama Symphony  Orchestra. (She’s pretending this is the Yule Ball and she is, of course, Hermione and Daddy is Viktor Crum…)
