Mommy helped at PE today, and was able to observe these koalas at play. (Literally, the entire class was playing koalas and it was the cutest thing.)

Hidden Reader
After school and then dance class, Rosie came right home and retreated to the backyard to read. She picked a pretty good, hidden spot!

And, boy, does she have opinions. 🤣
Koala Update
So far, Rosie B has raised enough money to symbolically adopt 14 koalas! Mommy found this picture of RBG (from when she had just turned 3) caring for a stuffed koala. She’s always had a soft spot for those sweet animals and it’s so sweet that she’s still finding ways to help.
Rock Painting
After getting her school work done (she stayed home with the sniffles today) she got her creative juices flowing with some rock painting! She’ll eventually put them out in the park for other people to find.
Getting Out
She’s still getting over her cold, but RBG was getting antsy to leave the house this afternoon. So, off to the bike trail! The fresh air helped perk her right up.
Math and Games
Rosie has a little cold so she spent the day hanging around the house, doing a little algebra (? 🤷🏽♀️) and playing games with Mommy and Daddy. The highlight: Mommy won two rounds of Trivial Pursuit against Daddy and Rosie!
Long Short Week
This was a pretty long short week and RBG is exhausted and happy it’s Friday!
Lucky Number 7
Rosie Beatrix is 7 years old!! She had a wonderful birthday, which began by opening her presents (mostly office supplies and also a keyboard that she had been eyeing for months!) She had a special snack at school (her favorite pumpkin bread) as her friends sung her Happy Birthday at exactly 2:33pm, the time she was born. Then it was pizza for supper and a cookie cake for dessert, followed by Nintendo time with Daddy and a slightly later bedtime. Happy Birthday RBG!!!
Save the Koala Campaign
After reporting to her class on the bushfire emergency last week, this little activist started a campaign to Save the Koalas affected by the Australian bushfires. She hung posters around the school and presented in each classroom her plan to raise funds. For every $25 collected, we can symbolically adopt a koala and the funds are used for the preservation and care of koalas and their habitats. If you’d like to help Rosie in her quest to save koalas, consider giving!
