Silence IS golden!

I woke up yesterday and of course my throat hurt worse than any other day. Mike was doing everything he could for me but I just needed some rest . My Mom called and wanted to take Emma to a shower for my cousin and then Vicki called and said she would take Tristan so that was amazing! Then Mike decided to take his brother Bradley golfing so I was all alone and got to sleep ALL day, it was wonderful! When my Mom came back she said she wanted to take the kids overnight and they could go to church with them since I wouldn't be going anyway. Tristan has a girlfriend in my Mom's ward so he loved that idea, her name is Aurora and she is a cutie and he is in love, he says... He's 4, i know! So this morning I slept in til 12! Never done that before but the meds help. Mike just went to get me some soup cause I thought I would attempt it. All I have had is sugar and it's making me sick. Oh and my favorite neighbor, Cathy Buckmister and Amber Kennedy(Buckmister) brought over dinner and I am so grateful for that. It smelled delicious and all who enjoyed, thanks so much you guys! My friend Gena brought pizza the night before and my Mom is making dinner tonight so we have been well taken care of and I feel so blessed to have all these wonderful people in my life! I love you all and thank you for making this past week so much easier for me!

Here comes the pain again....

So for those of you who didn't know, I had my tonsils removed yesterday(woohoo) and everything was good yesterday cause the anesthesia hadn't really worn off yet but I woke up this morning (of course that would mean I had to have gotten sleep right? WRONG) and OH MY GOSH, OUCH!!! I know I only have a couple more weeks of this so no biggy, haha. I want to thank everyone who sent me a text( since I can't talk) to see how I was or came and vistited. My Mom was so amazing! She took to the surgery, stayed and brought me home and then watched my kids with my sisters Annie & Ariel and then cooked dinner before she left! Love you mom!! Trying to explain why mommy couldn't talk and you couldn't jump on her was a chore for Tristan & Emma. I finally just showed them my throat and now they get it:) My kids dentist called to remind me of T's appointment and Ariel answered, mind you she is 18, and proceeded to tell them that I had my lungs removed and couldn't talk... haha I about pee'd myself weezing, cause I couldn't laugh of course, but it was pretty funny. Sweet Gwen brought me jello and whipped cream and I want it so bad but can't find the nerve to attempt to swallow it so maybe in a few days:( Anyway, off to take my meds and hopefully the pain will subside for a while... blog to ya later!

Stephanie McCabe

I wanted to say congrats to one of my best friends Stephanie! Her and her Husband are expecting and I am so excited for them! I love you guys so much and I cant wait to see this sweet baby!

Home Sweet Home!!

We are home! Yay! We got home late Sunday night and I am still laggin' like crazy. We had a blast in Europe. We left on June 14th and got home July 6th. Can you believe I left my kids for 3 weeks?! Believe me I did and it was SOOO hard! I bawled like a baby like the entire 1st week of the trip. I talked to them before I went to bed every night so it made it a little easier but I will never do it again! We started our trip in Madrid Spain and then flew to Vigo Spain and drove across the northern border of Spain through La Coruna, Aviles, Santiago & Pamplona, which were all part of Mike's mission. Spain is beautiful and the weather was PERFECT. In the 70's the entire trip through Spain and Paris, until we hit the flaming inferno called Rome... Rome was our last stop and it was so hot and humid but still really awesome! There are way too many pictures of the trip to post them but I do have a web album if you want to see more I will add the link to my blog or something. Anywho, so happy to be home! I have been insanely busy since I got home and will continue to be for a while:)
