5C’s of survivability – Basic survival items ideas

I took the idea of the five c’s of survival from the book “Bushcraft 101”, A Field Guide to the Art of Wilderness Survival, written by Dave Canterbury.
I really like the smart approach, we need to simplify or kit, to make more comfortable our life in the woods.
Every item in our backpack should at least have more than one use.
I hope you’ll like my short clip, enjoy it my friends!

Hike into the past: Rocca di Cerbaia | Cerbaia Fortress

Recently you have watched there some bushcraft and wildlife, but my first love is archaeology and the past …

I have to share with you this experience where nature and history live together!

It’s a video where I deliberately don’t speak, I want that you explore with me these beautiful ruins.

Everything started many many years ago when this fortress was built…

During the Middle age was really important for the Counts Alberti to control the Bisenzio valley.

They built this fortress at the top of a lonely hill.

The site has a complete view to the whole area!

There is a legend related to this fortress…

During a cold night, the young Dante Alighieri, the author of the poem Divine Comedy, came to the door of this fortress asking for a place to stay…

They didn’t offered it!

I hope you enjoy this place as I did my friend !

Here is the video for you!

Thanks for watching!

New trail camera footage from the wild Tuscany

While scouting a new area next to the top of a mountain, I found evidences of wolves, so
I set out there my trail camera of 8 days.

There were high winds in those days, so far branches activated the sensor many times, but finally it caught a… Lonely deer!!!

Building a shelter in the woods. First steps: raised bend and ridge pole.

These are my first steps in building a shelter in the woods.

I’m thinking to the popular Lean-to, using mainly material that I found in nature.
The roof will made with a removable tarp.
