This meme was originally created by Meggy @Chocolate’n’Waffles to spread some positivity amongst all the doom and gloom on social media and in the news. Meggy isn’t blogging any more, so Nicki @Secret Library Book Blog is now hosting. Feel free to join in with your own Happy Friday post, and link to this post if you want to. My second review this week for Thriller Thursday is by B.A. Paris, When I Kill You. I was able to listen to them both and enjoyed the experience. Scroll down for my thoughts.

This challenge helps me focus on that. Both of these books have been waiting for me to read since 2015 and 2019 respectively. One was a winner, the other was just okay. Each week a new theme is suggested for bloggers to participate in. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want. Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This year, I have joined the 2026 Great Canadian Reading Challenge to purposely look for books by Canadian authors. My goal is to read a minimum of 24 books by Canadian authors, hopefully some that I have never read before. That means at least 2 per month. These are #6 and #7, and both authors that I have read before. The Illegal is also a book that I owned my copy of, and is one I read for Black History Month.

It’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in a physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, books for review from authors, Netgalley, Edelweiss or publishers, as well as gifts or books you won.
