Occasionally, I ask myself, why do things I write get “Follows?” And, what does that do for anyone? Does it get me the attention I want or just spam and trouble? I wonder. Because, often enough, when something I write DOES net a Follow, I see faces and what look like business names for some off-name-brand website that is probably more sham than it’s worth. Some cheap, low-grade online operation wants to link my post to their space for what?…content?…something to make the page look legit’ while it’s really shady and probably littered with malware, pop-ups and the like, waiting to bait dumb online searchers?
So, someone, someone with a brain and the ability to respond to a question, please tell me what is a Follow worth? And, what should I do about these “businesses” with their generic-stamp/online-pirated profile photos? Should I block them?…if I CAN block them? Or, do I just let this all ride and see what happens?
It’s especially interesting when a post like the one I wrote about Russian hacking gets Liked or Followed by these odd linkers. That certainly seems like someone looking for a lure to bait a fool.
