The body holds what the mind forgets.
From gestures to scars, instincts to interruptions — this month, we’re building a new entry in the Artit archives: the body as record, as residue, as remembering.
For July’s Curator’s Picks, we’re calling on artists to explore the body as a site of memory — personal or collective, inherited or lived, tender or tense. We invite artists of all mediums and disciplines to submit work that reflects on themes including:
✧ Embodied memory and emotional residue
✧ Trauma, healing, and somatic language
✧ Ancestry, gesture, and generational echo
✧ Intimacy, chronicity, care, and pressure
✧ The materiality of flesh, skin, and form
Think about how your body holds stories.
What it repeats. What it protects.
What it won’t let go of — even when you do.
