Curator's Picks: Body // Archives

The body holds what the mind forgets.

From gestures to scars, instincts to interruptions — this month, we’re building a new entry in the Artit archives: the body as record, as residue, as remembering.

For July’s Curator’s Picks, we’re calling on artists to explore the body as a site of memory — personal or collective, inherited or lived, tender or tense.We invite artists of all mediums and disciplines to submit work that reflects on themes including:

✧ Embodied memory and emotional residue

✧ Trauma, healing, and somatic language

✧ Ancestry, gesture, and generational echo

✧ Intimacy, chronicity, care, and pressure

✧ The materiality of flesh, skin, and form

✧ Sign Up and Create Your Profile
Register on the ARTIT platform and set up your artist portfolio. Include your name, social media profiles, and a concise artist bio. This helps introduce you to our global audience and provides insight into your artistic journey.

✧ Upload Your Artworks
Add your artworks to your portfolio, including clear descriptions for each piece. Be sure to specify the title, medium, and dimensions, and share what each artwork represents to you. We encourage you to showcase additional works to give our jury a fuller understanding of your artistic vision and style.

✧ Submit Your Work to the Call
Select the pieces that best reflect your artistic identity and align with the theme of the call. Ensure your submission captures your personal connection to the subject and resonates with the spirit of the call.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Artit editorial and curatorial team.

Works will be selected based on:

✧ Relevance to the theme

✧ Originality and artistic expression

✧ Emotional and visual impact

✧ Clarity of concept

We’re especially interested in works that not just as subject, but as container — of feeling, memory, resistance, and time. Emerging and established artists are equally encouraged to apply.
