The hotel is a perfect choice for family or group holidays. It’s at a quiet location and it has wonderful sea views.
We really enjoyed the stay, especially, the hosts are super helpful, they arranged taxis and tours for us. We felt so welcomed at all time.
The Leo restaurant in the hotel is amazing! We had kept ordering food all day long because all the dishes are incredibly delicious! Try the Octopus CCC if you are in.
Plus, I love seeing the cats and dogs enjoying their peaceful moments.
Would definitely come back!

Staff, facilities and the property itself is amazing. We stayed there on our way from Dar to Mwanza. We stayed with two of our small dogs. Food was good too. They even packed our breakfast early in the morning as per request. Would love to visit again.

Location, atmosphere, pool, staff and especially the owners and their dog. Breakfast is available at any time of the day, owners help to organize best travel experience with best guides. Just the whole vibe and feeling was like home but away from home. Very personal and authentic.

We LOVED this place! This is a nice, quiet place, super clean, comfy beds, excellent bathrooms, magnificent view to the beach, yummy food, beautiful people. If you want to disconnect from the world and recharge, this is the place. We loved meeting Margaret who owns the place. She was such a delight to talk to everyday. We will miss her and her delicious breakfasts and dinners. Also, thanks to Jacobo and William who watch the place, they are so nice. We also took a tour with Hassan to watch dolphins and it was amazing. We highly recommend this place, it is absolutely one of the best places we have been.

The staff (Leepa, Isaya, and the rest) were all wonderful. Very warm and welcoming. They are all in tune with minimizing the impact to the environment while also sourcing food and supplies from the local community. Really pleasant stay.
Easily accessible to the northern gate to Nyerere NP.

Amiri, Lani the place managers were very kind & we loved them so much
The owner was always there and she was soo sweet & grant us some surprises as we were spending our Honeymoon

African Bungalows is a beautiful boutique style hotel, which is so hard to find in Nungwi. The pool area is exceptional with garden style surroundings. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The owner of the hotel Ersoy was a consummate host and made us feel really spoilt! Thank you so much for making our vacation special.

We loved the hammocks! We would just spend all day in those hammocks under the shadow directly at the beach. We also love the beach, it said to be the most beautiful beach on the whole island, it's swimmable at both high and low tide, and it was completely deserted during our entire stay. We loved as well the bungalows, which are simple and functional, each with its own bathroom. They are very well ventilated and it never gets hot inside. We loved the service and kindness and individual approach.
