Service Sunday

Suggested date: February 1, 2026

The Church of the Brethren’s Service Sunday is recognized annually the first Sunday in February. Congregations and leaders are asked to use this Sunday to recognize those who serve, or have served, in their local communities and throughout the world. The Church of the Brethren has a rich history of service that we are called to celebrate and continue to live out in the future. This Sunday is sponsored by the Service Ministries of the Church of the Brethren: Brethren Volunteer Service, FaithX, Brethren Disaster Ministries, and Children’s Disaster Services. Each year, the Service Sunday theme focuses on a different scripture passage. Congregations are encouraged to use the worship resources below in their planning for this Sunday.
