The first Church of the Brethren L.E.A.D. (Listen – Equip – Adapt – Disciple) Conference took place in November, 2024, at the Ephrata (Pa.) Church of the Brethren, sponsored by Discipleship and Leadership Formation.
The LEAD Conference Planning Team has now planned for quarterly webinars, with the goal of providing church board members, pastors, deacons, Sunday School teachers and any other local church leaders tools to grow in their leadership abilities.

Jeremy Ashworth has been the pastor of Circle of Peace Church of the Brethren for over 10 years. He loves good food, great conversations, hiking, travel, and people. He is married to the incredible Mary Ashworth and they have two awesome sons.
March 19, 2026 – Discipling Leaders

Pastor Lidia Gonzalez has been a church planter since the young age of 17 and has served the Church of the Brethren for 26 years. She works as a pastoral team with her husband Raul Gonzalez. Together they have planted five churches, four of them for the Church of the Brethren in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Virginia. They are currently serving in the Virlina District as pastors of El Buen Pastor. They are passionate about spiritual formation and discipleship, sending disciples into the world to live out the great commission, they have nurtured and called six licensed ministers, three are in the process of licensing and three more are waiting in the process to also be licensed. She is excited to serve the LEAD conference and share her passion for discipleship and formation.
