Special Correspondent Sophy Roberts is an award-winning writer based in England.
Sophy Roberts cut her teeth on the U.K. team of Condé Nast Traveller as editor-at-large soon after it was launched. She has since worked as Special Correspondent for the U.S. edition, covering remote destinations, from Papua New Guinea to Kamchatka. Based in rural Dorset in England, she remains a contributor to the magazine—with a special interest in Africa and conservation—as well as the Financial Times. She is a graduate of both Oxford University, where she was awarded a Jubilee Scholarship, and Columbia School of Journalism. Her first book, The Lost Pianos of Siberia, was published by Doubleday in 2020 to wide critical acclaim.
