Sarah James is digital editor at Condé Nast Traveller, where she writes, commissions and edits features on everything from food to hotels to travel trends. After completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Birmingham, where she's from, she moved to London in 2016 ago to study a Masters in journalism. She has worked as a journalist since 2016, starting her career at entertainment website Digital Spy. She started working at Traveller in 2017 as the brand's digital intern and has since been promoted a couple of times before attaining her title of deputy digital editor in 2022 – a role for which she was nominated for Best Deputy Editor in the BSME Awards 2024. In this role, she works across the whole website, focusing on food and the Condé Nast Traveller UK's Top New Restaurant Awards, the Readers' Choice Awards, wedding and honeymoon content, and safari content. She's now based in northwest London and spends most of her free time trying new coffee shops and bakeries, attempting to become a yogi, and talking about Taylor Swift.
