Education and Training Services

Sora is a freelance Spanish teacher who covers culture and learning combined with active methodologies. She discovered the programme thanks to her contact point. Sora finally dared to apply because she felt it could give her a great push to make things with more confidence without underestimating her ideas. Moreover she wanted to participate in the exchange to get inspiration from an experienced entrepreneur working in the language field and with the perspective of children teaching to get input on pedagogical games that are essential to human beings and therefore could be implemented for adults. Bea in turn is a freelance translator interpreter supporting/coaching bilingual parenting as well as the founder of CLUB SOLETE which supports multilingual children. Bea has already been a Host Entrepreneur in the programme and her goal was to advance in her business to open the doors to inspiration and exchange.

Both entrepreneurs worked on creating and implementing marketing strategies. That included designing templates for social media writing texts and optimising Bea’s website as well as video editing. Sora also did some research on potential financial programmes relevant to multilingual education and discussed the results with Bea. Both entrepreneurs planned and wrote down pedagogical

ob jectives for the classes and concepts. The aim was to implement and adapt creative teaching methods gaining hands-on experience for Sora while co-developing lesson plans for bilingual acquisition. Moreover Sora was also active in teaching when she gave some Spanish classes. Some administrative activities included client management and activity planning – Bea’s week usually is full and Sora was also spending some time on her business while working with Bea in Berlin.

The different characters have enriched them both through each other’s weaknesses. The exchange has helped to reach an agreement through communication as an essential base. They also improved on organizational performative intercultural skills active listening and - as was for Sora as NE very important – vocational clarity. Bea experienced the exchange with Sora as very beneficial and inspiring both on a business and a personal level. In her opinion they have more than fulfilled the ob jectives set and even achieved others that they had not even set themselves. Bea has learned a lot about organisation communication teamwork scheduling leadership coordination and a lot of structure in all areas of the company.
