On 28 January 2026, the Members of the Legal Affairs Committee will hold an exchange of views on the priorities of the Cyprus Presidency with the Minister of Justice and Public order of Cyprus Constantinos Fitiris. The members of JURI Committee will vote on the codification of the European Union designs dossier (2025/0190(COD)) and on the Copyright and generative artificial intelligence – opportunities and challenges initiative (2025/2058(INI)).
On 19 January 2026, the Members of the Legal Affairs Committee voted on oral questions to the Commission on the accession of the Republic of Albania and the accession of Montenegro to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments in Civil or Commercial Matters.

The European Parliament Coordinator on children’s rights
Guided by the "best interest of the child" principle, the Coordinator works to ensure the promotion and protection of children's rights in all EU policies and legislation. She seeks to assist citizens experiencing parental child abduction and other cross-border family disputes. She advocates closer collaboration with the judicial and administrative bodies and seeks to promote mediation in cross-border family matters.
