An ordinary meeting of the Delegation for relations with India (D-IN) took place on Thursday 4 June 2026 in Brussels.

Main topic of the draft agenda was:

Exchange of views on India's energy landscape and the perspectives for EU-India Clean Energy and Climate Partnership with:

• Ms Garima Mohan, Lead, GMF India Initiative and Senior Fellow, Indo-Pacific Program, German Marshall Fund (GMF)
• Dr Shayak Sengupta, India Programme Officer, International Energy Agency (IEA)
• Ms Aparna Roy, Fellow and Lead of the Climate Change and Energy programme, Observer Research Foundation (ORF), India; and
• Mr Isaac Valero, Head of Unit F3, DG ENER, European Commission

The latest meeting of the Delegation for relations with India (D-IN) took place on Thursday 5 March 2026 at 9:00-10:15 in Brussels.

This was a preparatory meeting for the upcoming 16th EU-India Inter-Parliamentary Meeting (IPM) scheduled to take place on 30 March - 1 April 2026 in New Delhi and Bengaluru, India.

This meeting was held in camera.

An ordinary meeting of the Delegation for relations with India (D-IN) took place on Thursday 15 January 2026 in Brussels.

The meeting focussed on the following topic:

Exchange of views on the latest developments in the trade negotiations and the preparations for the upcoming EU-India Summit with:

• Mr Charles Whiteley, Head of Division for South Asia (ASIAPAC.6), European External Action Service; and
• Mr Christophe Kiener, Head of Unit South and South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand and EU Chief Negotiator for the FTA with India, DG TRADE, European Commission
  

The above agenda Item was held together with the Monitoring Group on India of the Committee on International Trade (INTA).

This meeting was held in camera.

The ordinary meeting of the Delegation for relations with India (D-IN) took place on Thursday 13 November 2025 at 13.00-14.30 in Brussels.

The meeting focussed on following two parts:

• Exchange of views on the latest developments in the EU - India relations (In camera); and

• Exchange of views the state of play and perspectives of people to people ties between EU and India in the academic field

The meeting was webstreamed on EP Live with the exception of agenda items held "In camera".

The Delegation for relations with India (D-IN) held an ordinary meeting on Wednesday 3 September 2025 at 14.30-15:30 in Brussels.

As main topic on the draft agenda there was an exchange of views on the EU-India trade and economic relations in the global context with Mr Suman Bery, Vice-Chairperson of NITI Aayog.

An ordinary meeting of the Delegation for relations with India (D-IN) was held on Wednesday 4 June 2025 at 16:30-18:00 in Brussels.

As main topic on the draft agenda there will was an exchange of views with a delegation from the Indian Parliament.

The meeting was held in camera.

The India Delegation (D-IN) will hold an ordinary meeting in association with the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) and Delegation for relations with the countries of South Asia (DSAS) on Tuesday 13 May 2025 at 14:30-15:30 in Brussels.

An exchange of views on the escalation of India-Pakistan relations following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam will be held.

The meeting will be held in camera.

An ordinary meeting of the Delegation for relations with India (D-IN) took place on Thursday 10 April 2025 at 10.30 - 12.00. Two exchanges of views were held as main points on the agenda:

The first ordinary meeting of the 10th legislature of the Delegation for relations with India (D-IN) took place on Thursday 12 December 2024 at 9.00-10:15 in Brussels.

As main topic on the draft agenda there was an exchange of views on the state of play of the EU-India relations with:

• Mr Charles Whiteley, Head of Division ASIAPAC.1 and Head of the new EEAS Task Force for India, EEAS,
• Mr Christophe Kiener, DG TRADE, European Commission, HoU South and South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand and EU Chief Negotiator for the FTA with India, and
• H.E. Mr Saurabh Kumar, Ambassador of India.
