MEP Francisco ASSIS, Chair of the Delegation to the OACPS-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly, welcomed the Deputy Minister for ASEAN Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, Ms Milena RANGEL, for a discussion in the European Parliament, ahead of the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Brussels.

This meeting was an opportunity to discuss the way forward following Timor-Leste's accession to ASEAN on 26 October 2025, and to follow-up on the DACP exploratory mission to Timor-Leste in September 2025.
