18th EU-Serbia SAPC on 17 and 18 June 2026 in Strasbourg

18th EU-Serbia SAPC meeting - Co-Chairs Loucas Fourlas (EP) and Milimir Vujadinović (National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia) © European Union (2026) - European Parliament
The European Union - Serbia Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) held its 18th meeting in the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 17 and 18 June 2026.

During the meeting, which was co-chaired by Mr Loucas FOURLAS (Chair of the European Parliament Delegation) and Mr Milimir VUJADINOVIĆ (Chair of the Delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia), the SAPC exchanged views with the following representatives from the Serbian government and the EU institutions:
  • Mr Nemanja STAROVIĆ, Minister of European Integration, on behalf of the Government of Serbia
  • Ms Cristiana TZIKA, Head of relations with the European Parliament, Permanent Representation of the Republic of Cyprus to the EU, on behalf of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union
  • Mr Julien CRAMPES, Deputy Head Serbia, Kosovo Unit, Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood, on behalf of the European Commission
  • Ms Anne KEMPPAINEN, Deputy Head of Division 'Western Balkans', on behalf of the European External Action Service

The agenda included the following items:
  • State of play of the accession negotiations and EU-Serbia relations, in the presence of officials from the Government of Serbia and EU Institutions
  • The implementation of the opinion of the Venice Commission on the amendments to laws governing the judiciary and the prosecution
  • Alignment with the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP)
  • Media freedom and pluralism
  • Election related legislation
  • Political situation in the country
  • EU-facilitated dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina

In order to facilitate a swift start into the new legislative term, the Parliament has prepared for the new Members a series of brochures providing a detailed information on the EP's role in the external policies of the EU as well as the work of standing inter-parliamentary standing delegations.
