Interparliamentary Committee Meeting on the “Implementation of the Directive on the Protection of the Environment through Criminal Law” (JURI ICM), 4 June 2025, Brussels

The European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI), in cooperation with the Legislative Dialogue Unit of the Directorate for Relations with national Parliaments (DG PART), invited Members of EU national Parliaments to attend this Interparliamentary Committee Meeting (ICM) to discuss the implementation of the Directive on the Protection of the Environment through Criminal Law and in particular the ongoing transposition into national law of the Directive. The transposition deadline of the Directive has been set to 21 May 2026. The focus of the discussions was on the cross-border aspects of this transposition and cooperation practices among Member States.
