Photo 

We deliver extensive photo coverage of all main EU-related news. In Brussels & Strasbourg, the European Parliament offers a range of photographic services, together with the necessary crew, for MEPs, internal services and journalists. Most photos taken by the EP Photo Service are published on this website and offered for download, free of charge.

The Photo Service covers:

Delivery  

Our photo library contains more than 830.000 images grouped in 48.500 photosets from the beginning of the European project until today. Our professional photographers offer tailor-made quality pictures to match the requestors’ wishes. The public can download photos from the Multimedia Centre free of charge. Upon request, the Photo Service can help you find the photo you need.

Conditions of use  

Download photos: Photos on this website can be downloaded free of charge by anyone, be it journalists, students or the wider public. Identification of origin (© European Union - YYYY) is mandatory.

Bookings: In addition to the daily coverage of events and activities inside the Parliament, MEPs can book our photo services free of charge for official portraits or to cover their parliamentary activities inside the EP premises. Booking requests must be submitted at least 72 hours (3 working days) prior to the event.

Short photo shootings are also available for journalists interviewing MEPs and internal services covering institutional activities. These requests should be submitted 48 hours in advance, except ahead of the plenary sessions when the deadline is fixed on Friday at noon. The capacity of the photo service to respond to these additional requests is limited to the availability of our staff.

When to book?

Booking requests must be addressed at least 72 hours (3 working days) prior to the event. We work on a first-come, first-served basis.
