What do you like best about IPinfo?

What blew me away was how quickly I was able to get IPinfo integrated into our internal tools. The dashboard feels a bit dated — it's not that it's unusable, but it lacks the intuitive flow I get from competitors like MaxMind’s minFraud dashboard. When I tried setting up custom usage alerts, the feature wasn’t as flexible as I’d hoped. We use IPinfo as a gatekeeper before accepting new registrations and transactions as it is especially useful for filtering traffic from proxy-heavy regions and with it I have built a small Python service that enriches every visitor's IP in real-time, and flags anomalies based on geolocation and ISP. This has reduced our manual fraud reviews by about 40% and caught a few chargeback-prone users before they even placed an order. What do you like best about IPinfo?

I’ve been using IPinfo daily for about six years, first through their API and now primarily through the dashboard. The accuracy of their data and the speed of responses are outstanding, especially when it comes to detecting the country and city of an IP address.

Their coverage of IP ranges is incredible, and I rely heavily on features like ASN and carrier detection — particularly in Israel, where it helps distinguish between different cellular ISPs. This has been crucial for improving decision-making and uncovering fraudsters who try to hide behind VPNs.

The implementation is super easy, whether you’re using the API or the dashboard, and their documentation is very clear and straightforward.
