I won't lie, this book took me a minute to get into, because I had a hard time relating to the main character, Emma. However, as the story progressed, and more layers of her personality were exposed, I began to enjoy the story more and more. This is a sexy read, and Emma's attraction to Joe is quite fun to watch (or rather, fun to watch her try to fight it).... Well done, Mrs. Sweeney!!

Having been through 2 divorces myself, I was very curious about this book and hoped to come away from it with a little insight. However, what I got from it was so much more. I finished The Divorce with a feeling of hope, and with the knowledge that while there are some things not worth saving, true love certainly is. I did everything throughout this story- I laughed, I cried, I reflected, I reminisced, and I found myself cheering for the characters. This is probably my favorite book yet from Brianna West. While I have always adored her strong, sassy female leads from her previous tales (i.e., Izzy, Eve, etc.), Ebony is unlike any other. As a demon suddenly finding herself in the real world, she flounders at first, trying to find her footing and her place in life. She has endearing qualities one would compare to that of a newborn, as she experiences a host of feelings and emotions she's never felt before and tries to understand them. Her honesty is refreshing and the chemistry between her and Simon is smoking hot! There's so much to love about this story, highly recommend!

Woah!!! I liked this second installment even more than the first one!! I think that, for me, I had a hard time relating to Emma throughout Just Breathe, until the ending (no spoilers!)... So, once I was able to finally have that momemt when I clicked with her, it really enhanced the entire story for me heading into Breathe Out. Bravo! I thoroughly enjoyed this book on many levels. It is an action-filled adventure, featuring fairy tale characters of old. The main characters are a trio of youngsters who find themselves in one predicament after another, yet there are many adult themes entwined throughout which adds to the appeal. I absolutely loved this story. It's appropriate for readers of all ages, young and old alike. I'm definitely reading the entire series, I'm hooked!
