Madelaine chased after the raven. "I just need help!" she yelled out to it. Her hood had fallen off her head and her brown curls whipped her face.
"Its leading you to him." Woodsong explained,
Suddenly the woods opened out into a small clearing of rotting tree stumps. A burnt out fire was in the middle of the glen and a dark blue pitch tent had been erected nearby. It was empty. The raven landed on a tree stump in the clearing and looked at its followers.
She ran into the small clearing, before it could close. "Please," she looked at the raven with pleading eyes.
She sat down and waited for someone, anyone to appear.
After a long silence a deep voice boomed out behind her. "In the name of Vanwe, why are you so damned persistent to find me, child of another realm?" Said a tall figure, clothed in deepest blue robes, hooded and standing in the shadows between the trees. The raven caw'd and flew to its masters shoulder.
Madelaine jumped. She turned around to see her hero, Gandalf. She gawked. "Gandalf, sir," she said. "I was brought here, and I don't know completely why. I thought you might have some information that could help me."
Dark clouds rolled overhead and thunder boomed across the forest "GANDALF?!" Said the man, his voice booming as if it was the thunder. "There is no Gandalf here, only Pallando!" He raised his black staff from his side and pointed it at the pool of stagnant water that lay next to the girl. The water swirled and bubbled and rose up, forming a perfect model of the wizard Gandalf. "This is the wizard you seek, he is my kin, for I am Istari, wizard of the same order as Gandalf and yet he is more kind, and less fantisful" He said as the sloshed back to earth. "Someone I may add I am keen to speak to myself"
Madelaine pulled her hood over her head. "Well, excuse me sir, for you are not the man I am looking for," she said as she tried to get out of the clearing, but the trees grew thicker blocking her path.
Pallando took a step forward into the clearing. "Forgive me child, I was rash. It may be that we can be of service to eachother. Greetings to you Woodsong." He said to the elf also
"Greetings Pallando." Woodsong said rising out of the bow.
"How could a mere human, like me, help you?" she said, facing Pallando.
"The soft soul that Gandalf is seems more likely to find humans such as yourself, I would appreciate it, if you find him, that you could direct him to myself, or at least make him aware to my presence in the realm. I am sure he will be eager for a meeting" said the man, hooded still
"That's who I'm looking for. He's my chance at finding out why I'm here." she said. She tried to see his face. "Why don't you show yourself?" she said.
@ Richard ((Do you want to RP Gandalf?))
"In return I shall answer you a question on middle earth, for my lore is great, but not of these parts, for I have travelled far. I like to remain in the shadows, for... Identity protection" he replied ((I can't, not my character sorry, Iverson has claimed him))
"Sure," she said, before leaving him to find Gandalf.
Once she had gone Pallando pushed his hood down and raised his eyebrows to Woodsong, "bit ungrateful wasn't she!" He let out a chuckle and took a seat on one of the logs
Madelaine searched the wood for Gandalf. "Please, turn up Gandalf," she whispered.
"She knows not who she speaks too." Woodsong said calmly.
Woodsong smile. "Yes, thank you."
Pallando handed him the chicken and pulled out a duck for himself. "I'm looking for Radagast" he said "I found a bird who knew him but it would not lead me near his home. I fear for the wizard, he was always too fond of dangerous beasts"
Madelaine searched and searched but could not find him. "Well finding Gandalf is not a success.." she said.
"That is true or at least to what I've heard." Woodsong said taking a bite out of a chicken leg.
Madelaine trudged along. Her cut now seared in pain. She yelped as a tree branch slid across her cut. She found some moss and wrapped it around her wound.
"Hmmmm" Pallando pointed his staff towards the dead fire and a fireball consumed it, sending a 'whoosh' noise into the air, which any nearby travellers may have heard.
Madelaine decided she could call out for help, since her cut was much worse now, and was bleeding horribly. "Help!" she managed to yell.
((Btw shes from earth.))
Madelaine ripped the moss off her arm and looked down at her bloody forearm.
Madelaine ripped the moss off her arm and looked down at her bloody forearm.
Pallando heard the cry and gave a low chuckle "well, reject and what do you expect... Investigate" he said to the raven. The raven took flight and flew into the forest towards to cry
She cried out for help once more.
"God, where is Legolas?" she said, a little loud, making the birds above her fly away.
As the birds flew away from the girl, the raven landed on a nearby branch and looked at her, then caw'd
"You know that green robed man Pallando."
"Are you stalking me?" she asked the bird.
"That one I met on my travels the spellcaster I recently came into contact with him."
"He appeared while I was drinking from a stream he said that you were something of a fraud and said he gave up on finding you and searched for another."
Madelaine glared at the raven. "Shoo!... Ow!!" she said as she touched her arm.
Tears started to pour out of her eyes as her cut burned more. But it burned because it was shaping itself... into words.
"Here's what I know; this man always wears green robes and hides his face but at one point I saw glimpse of his face he had a scar under his left eye and he has dark black hair. I do not know why he keeps appearing to me. At one point he said he devoted his life to finding you and then he said he's giving up on this search, to search for another he might have mention the dark one." Woodsong racked his brain.
Madelaine stared at it as the wound had smoke billowing out of it. She coughed and tried to blow the smoke away. Her cries could be heard deep in the woods.
