VIVI ★ started reading Mexican Gothic

"To me, I feel this this book was the least likeable book within the series.

Zora was truly psychotic and deranged. She's extremely obsessed with Katie and has been stalking her for years. That's already at creepy weird level. She's also extremely violent, temperamental and sadistic. She kills anyone she wants because she feels she can. I just have no sympathy for people like that and wouldn't even care if she got killed herself.

I just couldn't relate to or like someone like that. She also says she hates men but she acts like a man, dresses like a man and looks like a man. She's practically emulating the very thing she despises. To each their own I suppose.

Katie while for the greater part of her life, was unfortunately used and abused by her family, friends and everyone else is probably why she's masochistic.

There wasn't any real love except perhaps mad obsessive love but there was a lot of sex and lust which is understandable given the title.

Overall it was a rather slow read for me since most of the book was focused on the psychotic sadistic and obsessive thoughts of Zora which wasn't really enjoyable as much as it's supposed to.
